Quick Info

This is my Rakdos Burn deck I've built and fell in love with.

I don't think Burn needs an introduction really, but here it goes. The deck runs as much card that deals 3 damage (or more) for as cheap as possible to try and kill our opponent as fast as humanly possible. With a splash of black we gain access to Bump in the night and Gonti's machinations, as well as a few interesting sideboard options like Contaminated Ground and Rakdos Charm. We also play green for  Destructive revelry because rakdos colors are not exactly the best to deal with enchantments.

Name of the game is BURN & BLAZE! CHAR & INCINERATE! IGNITE & MELT! SCORCH & SMOLDER! TORCH & BAKE! BROIL & CALCINE! COMBUST & TOAST!  And so on until we kill our opponent. A good early game is important and it's where we do the biggest most important part of our work. We want our opponent to be dead somewhere in the Mid Game and don't know what "Late game" means at all.

If you're interested in building yourself a similar deck, I strongly recommend visiting the modern primer on this very forum here. They have been a valuable ressource and a great help to tinker and refine this deck.

Early Game

You can actually cast a good 60%+ of your deck on turn 1.  However, some are better when cast as early as possible, and so take priority in casting. Here's a nifty list of the three cards (in order) you want out as fast as possible on the field.

1) Goblin guide

2) Monastery swiftspear

You want to maximize the damage your creatures are gonna put out before they get blocked or straight up killed. So the earlier they get on the battlefield and attack, the better.

Turn 2 you'll prioritize creature and nonred spells. Eidolon of the great revel is usually your turn 2 play and is the good choice like 95% of the time.

Mid Game

You can technically kill your opponent by turn 3 if you have a good 1-drop spell lineup and they fetch a bit too much/let a shockland enter the battlefield untapped, but it's a lot more realistic to say you can kill them on turn 4 or 5.  Sometime you'll kill them a bit slower due to damage comming from incremental cards like eidolon or creatures.

Late Game

Again with this strange word. What is this "Late Game" you keep talking about?

Serously, if you get to the late game, you're either one spell away from victory or in a real pickle.
