On another note, I havnt looked through the forums yet to see if someone already did this so I apologize if that is so. But I still would like to see your take on it!
The Transmuter is INSANE. What about adding Inkwell Leviathan to your list? The Sphinx of Steel Wind is massive and has beaten by Jund and Grixis decks more than a few times.
Anyway, I was thinking that it would be fun to run a predominantly white flight of the angels deck. Obviously, Luminarch Ascension and Sigil of the Empty throne would both be at home in this deck, as well as the shiny new Geist of Saint Traft, Angelic Destiny combo, but what else would be at home in a deck where angels rule?
I was thinking the same thing. I made a budget Luminarch deck for Standard before Innistrad and it did quite well and I want to see how others would make it (if you want the list I'll give it to you).
Countermagic is the smell before rain, the sun on the horizon and the chocolate chips in my mint chocolate chip ice cream. It's the first time I saw a woman naked and the first time I smelled perfume. It's that feeling you get when you know you're right.
But most of all; it's the feeling of playing Magic
Currently building this deck, and I love it. Mainly because it "cheats" big fatty creatures into play that cause all kinds of chaos. General idea behind old school re-animator. Also because you compared it to "Disney: Little Mermaid" and when I told my wife that she said "That one... build that one."
My deck list will be similar but i'm gonna play around with some of the creature cards, due to cost.
tossing in Parasitic Strix,Filigree Angel, and Inkwell Leviathan
thinking about for some kind of sideboard. Architects of Will, Glassdust Hulk, Glaze Fiend, Pentavus, and Sludge Strider
I've been playing around with a similar deck on and off for a while now. Not so sure how fitting "the steel lady" is thou...I can't be the only one to deduce there are no lady-bits left under the etherium

Thanks once more for all the positive feedback. The second installment in Dan's Deckshop is already finished and is even now in the hands if the editors. Hint, it's entitled, "Kamigawa Strikes Back"
The article was supposed to come out two weeks ago, but mid terms and my work analyzing games swept me into a storm of work. Luckily the article is almost done and I'm planning to put the finishing touches on it this weekend.
Edit - And... History happened. Due to software issues and a never-ending (though awesome) stream of game design work I haven't been able to sit myself back to writing about Magic in months. Hopefully my life will eventually calm down for Dan's Deckshop to kick up again - but it may be a while yet. In the mean time, I hope your lives are meaningful and your decks carry you to victory.
