Magic: The Gathering - the only context where "This flavor sounds green" would even remotely make sense.
Four FlyingSquirrels taking down a big dragon made of lava? You know, the one more dangerous than a river of molten rock? Granted none of them survive, but still, huh?
Interestingly enough Esper has more 5-power guys than Bant, who only have four. Grixis has 10, and Jund has 8. Taking out the four all-coloured creatures... Naya trumps the lot with 24 quarterclocks.
Really. Just look at it. The artwork is so off it's stupid.
What always bothered me about this picture is the fact that it represents three guys, and yet the creature is just 1/2. If we assume the guy in the middle is 0/1, and one of the claw dudes is 1/1, this means the last guy is 0/0? Maybe we take into consideration only the one in the middle? But then it would be Vectis Silencer not Silencers.
Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.

If the guy in the middle is 0/1, the two beside him are clearly Little Girls in disguise
Look at Darksteel Relic, which is strongly valued by the Mirrans according to the flavor text. The shape of the relic, combined with the energy swirl that we see on all things made of Darksteel, looks strangely like a Phyrexian symbol...
Some facts of magic:
-Terror is an emotion which, when experienced, results in death.
-The pox was a disease notorious for having killed one-third, rounded up, of Europe’s population. Smallpox, on the other hand, killed only a single person.
-A person riding a horse cannot be stopped by foot soldiers, large animals, walls, archers, or even catapults.
"I have no idea what it's like not to be a straight white male, and the experiences of others are irrelevant." -Conservative Motto
Calling someone a Commie is flaming and must be stopped, but turning the word Conservative into a loaded pejorative and using it over and over again is perfectly acceptable.

On the topic of Bludgeon Brawl, it plus Mycosynth Lattice lets your creatures use any noncreature permanent as a weapon, evenabstractconcepts. And words. And the Bludgeon Brawl itself. To me, though, nothing's funnier than the idea of some random farmer or a little girl grabbing Nicol Bolas by the tail, and beating someone to death with him. And all the while, Bolas is ranting about how everyone involved will pay dearly for this indignity.
Thorn Elemental shows "scale birds" (birds used to say "that's big"), but doesn't have reach.
What exactly "life" has to do with Hurricane and all its numerous imitators, I'll never guess. But Borrowing the East Wind is by far the worst offender: I'll bet that wind is so bad. Luckily, I'm not riding a horse.
Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

More facts of magic
I found it quite amusing to have, multiple times in a draft, a werewolf wielding a Silver-Inlaid Dagger, which was also funny when Ironfang (without a dagger) was weaker than the local blacksmith with one. Wish I could see a vampire with a wooden stake, or a zombie lord with a blazing torch. Also considered the oddity that an odd mist stops a disturbing science project, a raging psychopath and an angry mob of guards.
Other oddities
Bloodcrazed Neonate isn't bloodthirsty. Technically.
Wall of Faith can by bound by itself
A wall of bone doesn't help Bonehoard get that much bigger alive or dead. The other way around works great though.
I wonder what would happen when you twist a walking dream.
Feeling of... Dread? Not quite the same thing.
Enough for now.

Gerrard Capashen can never touch Tsabo Tavoc. (It's explained in the flavor.)
Halo Hunter is a hoser for angels. Well, what angels will we want to deal with? Pro-demons, pro-black, hexproof, indestructible, lol u can't play black, at any point where she's a problem you could just Doom Blade her and win the game, has already done her worst, isn't an angel, now we're just being silly
You can't kill Emrakul, but your Notorious Assassin can.
None of the mercenaries from Mercadian Masques have "cost: You gain control of CARDNAME. Any player may play this ability."
Bloodcrazed Goblin is so bloodcrazed, he can't attack sometimes.
