Does anyone know a link or site to get high quality images to manipulate in photoshop?
I'd have to warn that official MTG images are copyrighted, and so you'll need to be careful with what you do, but there a thread in this forum that I'm hosting which has high quality images of official Magic art. It's titled the Magic Art Archive. Post a reply in that thread if you're looking for a specific piece.
Does anyone have any art of Jace where you can see the back of his cloak? I am going to be doing a Jace cosplay at GMX this year and have a feeling that he has white markings on his cloak but I am not sure.
Okay, does anyone do digital art commissions, and if so, what price are we talking? (Keep in mind I'm a poor student! )-Snip-

Does anyone know a formula to achieve a certain RGB value by mixing other paints of known RGB values? I have some trouble color matching and would like to take a more scientific approach to it. If RGB isn't the right way to do it, then what is?

You should be able to find the Jace stylesheet on Eric Deschamps blog.

Cards are printed, as all things are, in CMYK. Know RGB values will not help you so much.
I wasn't quite sure where to post this but I figured this would be the best place. I have seen many alters of anime characters and other people artwork. Such as Van Gogh, Pokemon, etc.. Should the alter sign his/her name? Or would that be considered plagiarism?
I would like to start doing anime and original pieces but I wasn't sure if it would be too close to plagiarism. Thanks!
I'm not printing anything though, I'm mixing paints trying to color match.
Is there a way to find the CMYK value of a color using GIMP?
Don't think this approach will help you much. Color matching depends on many factors like pigments used, opacity, chroma and value of the paints involved...and of course experience. Better make a matrix of how your paints mix with one another to get a better understanding of mixing results.
Can I have my 2nd question moved back to its original thread? Neither question I have asked has been answered. One was several weeks ago. I would like this second answered in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks.

On the card, you can sign your name. On the forum, we just require you to give a citation of your influences and visual resources. For example, if you drew/painted a Pikachu on a Plains you can just say "Pikachu, copyright Nintendo" and that would be fine. If you used a specific artists work, for example: Pikachu's, then we would like you to reference the work and the artist, ie: "Pikachu's by Liviebaby754".

Another issue i'm having is getting a good image for upload when i'm done painting. I've using my home scanner but it comes out with rainbow lines across the image and the colors are distorted. Any suggestions?

If there's a de-interlacing option in the scanner program it might help. You could try color correction in-scan or use Photoshop or GIMP.
my friend wants to make an owl deck, but there's not a lot of creatures that actually owl as the name or creature type owl. can you guys think of any cards with owls in the artwork?
so far I have:
[CARD]Baleful Strix
tidehollow strix
Parasitic Strix
sage owl
crushing vines
Augury Owl
Ebony Owl Netsuke
Fable of Wolf and Owl
Owl Familiar
Rimefeather Owl
Spire Owl
Tempest Owl[/CARD]
the only requirement is that an owl has to be in the art work. can you guys think of any more?
Hey guys, I was wondering if I could get your help with something. I'm looking for cards with wumpuses in the art. I thought I had found them all, but the other day I came across one I hadn't seen before. Here's what I've found so far:
Good morning, i am in need of some help ... i am trying to make a full art variation of my squirrel deck ... but until now i never realized how hard it is to find artwork of squirrels hah! ... looking for something that would fit with each of these cards
my plan was first to just use larger versions of the orig pieces but they are about as hard to find as well ..
Random request - does anyone have a template for a 'blank' mtg card?
By blank I mean a card with no colors, art or text - so I suppose it would just be a white card with a blank name line, art box, type line and text box.
Also a borderless blank template would be cool too.
Has anyone created anything like this? or could they?
Check in the Tutorials subforum. You should be able to find pretty much any kind of template you're looking for.
So, I was curious if anyone was capable of making a couple lines on the following picture. I just was hoping to have a fancy-looking bracket to the side for a commander and a line across toward the bottom to separate lands.
That is all.
Any help would be appreciated.
EDIT: I meant Lines on the picture itself. I plan on cutting off the border.
Thank you DNC for the Sig

Tainted Isle by Alan Pollack
Temple of the False God by Brian Snoddy
Any of the Kamigawa Swamps or Islands in high resolution.
If the highest resolution can't be found I'll also accept alternate artwork that would fit the role.
I'd be greatly appreciative.
I'm trying to do full art lands for them all for my EDH (I've already gotten the rest done, these are just eluding me)
