Sometimes in the block book, they say that Sorin create some blue-black energy.
Has anybody thought that Sorin is in fact a blue-black planeswalker?
He has many works on the multiverse, he is capable of doing great plans and his bloodline is known for their exquisite taste in fashion, art and on "wine of the vein", so they have more culture then most vampires have, which means thy use more their minds.
Any thoughts about that?
I'm not the first to point this out, I'm sure, but on the official website, they portray Sorin as a hedonistic (The essence of Black/Red) guy who is merely concerned with looking out for number one (Black) and doing what he wants, when he wants (Red).
If he does colorshift in the Innistrad block, it will most likely be to Black/Red, for the simple reasons that the colors of the Vampires of his home plane are Red and Black, and that it's the most fitting color combo for his personality.
I would honestly prefer him staying mono-Black, but if he colorshifts I won't lose any sleep over it. It merely means that Liliana will go back to being the Black poster child as she should be.

He did get a card in Zendikar. He was monoblack.
The way the author describes Sorin's magic has no effect on his color. It depends on his personality.

Sorin is firmly black. Every fleshed out character will exhibit charisticts from other colors, but in his heat, he's a monoblack character.
This could change over time, Ajani went from being red/white to being monowhite. But such changes don't happen without some major change in a person's personality.
This was on today's Savor the Flavor. It's about Sorin being unaffected by Avacynian magic despite him being a vampire of Innistrad.
Interestingly, there are other reasons why Sorin in particular may have ways to remain unaffected by such magic. We'll get to that later in this block.

If he is BW, I'm going to be a happier man.
I could definitely see this. Even his appearance on Zendikar could be seen as an attempt to maintain order in the multiverse, a very white characteristic. Of course, it could equally be seen as preemptive self-preservation (not wanting to deal with the Eldrazi in the future), a very black motivation.
BW would be the coolest though.

While it shouldn't be taken as a certainty, Innistrad's vampires appearing in both black and red brings up the possibility of Sorin appearing in Dark Ascension as a B/R walker. As has been said, his personality would also fit B/R well.
Next person to say Sorin is becoming w/b will be teleported to Jin-Gitaxias' labs with a sign saying 'everything usable except for the brain'.
We have been practically told it won't happen. If (and this is an if so large it alters weather patterns) Sorin adds a color, it will likely be red. And even then, hedonism (which seems to be the main argument for) is still black. Self-indulgence is black.

Simple fact of the matter is that casting one blueish spell or doing one good deed does not necessarily make a big enough of a difference to get into a character's colors. Now is Sorin made a habit of saving kittens and giving alms to the poor, yeah, he could realistically gain a W in there. Or if he started going on destructive rampages or taking over people's minds, totally could gain R or U in there.
Black favors order just as much as White does. Red favors wild life as much as Green does. Sorin can stay mono-black and still have minor elements of multiple colors and even things that seem to be major elements of other colors. There's no particular reason to pigeon-hole a certain color as the only place that order or hedonism can be.

While he is a firmly black he has streaks of other colors in him. Bit of white and red mostly. He can be impulsive and he can come together for the overall greater good. But mostly he is selfish and will only involve himself when it suits him... granted not evil.

Goldmane came SECOND. It doesn't change your point, but how many times are we going to have to say that?
What you aren't observing here though, is that an outside stimulus generated those color changes. They were shifts in personality brought about by an event. They weren't just personality shifts for the sake of shifts.
And to defang the argument of Sorin changing personality, he's THOUSANDS of years old. The older you get, the more set in your ways you become.
Sorin could very well be B/R in Dark Ascension, not because he's changed or anything, but he's now using a set of abilities that would fall partially under red. Tezzeret was initially monoblue, but was blue/black in his incarnation on Mirrodin. A similar thing could happen with Sorin, here. Each planeswalker card represents the walker showing up, willing to use only certain abilities, so DKA's Sorin could be one more willing to use Red abilities. The color change doesn't necessarily have to represent a paradigm shift or anything.

Tezzeret changed, so I'm not sure he'd be the best example to use. I'm not sure if we've gotten a walker card with a color shift that also coincided with a personality shift, but it'll probably happen eventually.
Sangromancy, Sorin's magic of choice, is actually white. Just sayin.
Care to explain your train of thought? The only cards coming to mind involving blood magic have been black. I get the feeling you might be confusing sangromancy with healing white magic.

Tezzeret's original incarnation shows him years before he actually showed up in the story. He'd been gone from Alara for nearly a decade before we actually saw him.
In every appearance we had of him in the present day, it was pretty clear he should always have been blue black.
The guy you heard it from, and the guy he heard it from are probably misinformed. Also read the card stardust linked. That's less blood magic and more "let me take that hit for you with my physical body bro."
Just sayin'

I don't feel I need to justify myself to somebody who can't be bothered to read over their posts because they're too busy being what they think is witty. For everyone who can follow, this is my line of reasoning;
1. Black as a colour is all about the self. If a sentence doesn't include both the words 'benefit' and 'me' in the same sentence, black isn't interested.
2. Black only cares about my own desires, constantly indulging the self. So, black is self-indulgent.
3. Hedonism is the belief that pleasure is the sole aim worth pursuing in life. A hedonist will therefore do what pleases them as often as possible. Therefore hedonism can be equated with self-indulgence.
4. Since black is self-indulgent, and self-indulgent individuals can be described as hedonistic, black is hedonistic.
5. Red acts impulsively. While impulsive action can be hedonistic, it isn't always. Red's defining characteristic is impulsiveness, or not putting any thought into their action.
6. Sorin is hedonistic, not impulsive. He puts a lot of thought into his actions. Sealing away the Eldrazi ensured that he would be able to continue his hedonistic ways. A red-aligned individual wouldn't have sealed away the Eldrazi, instead preferring to make the most of their remaining time.
7. In accordance with the above points, Sorin Markov of Innistrad is a shining example of a black planeswalker. His actions reinforce this when seen in the proper context, and there is no conclusive evidence that this state of affairs will change.
I will paste this into each and every thread that suggests Sorin will change colours in [DKA]. Thank you.
I'm hoping and expecting Sorin to stay mono black. However, his personality is very much Black/Red.
Now, at one point I suspected Sorin to be White black based on the Day of Judgment flavor text and his willingness to meet commitments like the meeting on Zendikar does sound very white but I still have to accept the fact he's very much a Black/Red walker.
Sangromancy, Sorin's magic of choice, is actually white. Just sayin.

-Sorin has never acted very Red at all
-several of his actions have been white tinged
-Sorin's actions are still black
-We already have a Black-Red walker
-We don't have a White-Black walker
-Developing another character to fill this spot would waste too much time
-White is the only logical course for Sorin to (temporarily) expand to.
-Wizards need to have one planeswalker representing each color for each block (Don't even argue this point. Every single block or core set with walkers has had this rule.). Giving Sorin white would prevent him from being redundant next to our mono-black Lilina.
-A WB Sorin would be pretty badass.

Planeswalkers change. There is precedent for this in Sarkhan Vol/Sarkhan the Mad, Ajani Goldmane/Ajani Vengeant and even (to a lesser extent) the new Garruk.
