I would suggest looking at any Card retailing site.
I'm not sure if MtGcity.com sells them in that big or not. Also mtgfanatic.com is the source I go through.
If you really want to get some cheap, go straight to the maufacturer. Ultra Pro sells some really nice ones, but they get pricey.
WARNING: Do not ever try to make your own. My friend and I did this using sleeve pages. It seemed like a good idea until the shuffling.

lol - wow - now theres a thought that had never occurred to me until now. hehe
To the original poster, you could probably chat up a store owner and ask them what a case of sleeves would cost - there may even be a brand they don't normally order thats cheaper just cause it's not popular or they feel like they wouldn't sell the whole case. It's win-win for them to order it for you close to their cost + shipping - especially if you're a regular buying singles or packs from them.
(I tried this with my local stores and they just don't get that I am not going to pay them a 50% markup for a no risk purchase that I am even willing to prepay for.)
I have these sleeves, are they are in fact very cheap. I don't know where HobbySupply168 gets his sleeves, but I've only seen them from him, and only on ebay.
They are very thin and very flexible. I would not take them to Nationals or anything. But I've actually come to like them, and they feel pretty natural now. They fit my cards well, and as long as you shuffle them correctly, you won't have too many go bad on you. And even if you split a few, you are getting 750! I will say they are definitely worth 2 cents per sleeve.
Sleeves don't sell for very much on ebay because the only way to sell them is either in eBay store or in bulk. I've dumped my extra sleeves on eBay before and the people who bought them got pretty good deals.
vatechguy> Nice thing about so many MTG stores being ran by the owner is that you can get good deals like that. No reason he wouldn't want to sell em to you for like $1 over cost per pack, esp if you were pre-ordering paying in advance. Most of these guys get discounts for moving more product, which is why they give good deals on booster boxes that are pre-ordered. If he's selling 20 boxes a month of new product and has enough sway to swing ordering 3 months worth at once (plus any they are busting for singles) adding a couple of cases from pre-sales sold at close to cost just brings down his cost on the whole batch netting him $150 or so.
My old store would pre-sell booster boxes (with thier membership which was $30 a year and gave you a discount on everything) at $85 all day long.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
sorry to necro this, but can we sticky it so that all the other sleeve threads disapear?

Sleeves sell a bit better then you would think, I used to sell quite a few but all sales have generally slowed down. Although I only sold KMC sleeves im not sure if paying $25 for 750 seem good quality wise. I know I only was looking for $4/100pack when sold to people in person, its been years since I have bought sleeves so im not even sure if thats a good price even.
We never used to use sleeves when we were young and foolish. What sleeves I use are dependent on the event/deck/whatever
For limited, I just buy some of the cheapest sleeves to keep the cards in decent condition.
For playtesting same thing. I just sleeve up the cards I have and the proxies in the cheapie sleeves.
For ACTUAL decks, I use Ultra Pro, mainly because I like the art on the backs, and because the only problem I've had is 3 sleeves splitting. From the same package. 2 years after I bought them
Dragonshields hold up like crazy, but the backs (at least on the solid colored ones) get scuffed up pretty easy, and for some reason, every pack of Dragon Shields I've ever bought has been cut non-uniformly :/
I dont use any name brand sleeves, at least that i'm aware of. but the sleeves i have are roughbacks (they have bumps or some sort of design) to them that makes them impossible to stick together. i also have a subset of sleeves that are matte black Ultrapro sleeves i bought way back in the day (i'm thinkin 2000). but i use my roughbacks for any and ALL tournaments i do, since i have 75. i can pack em up go to town.

Anyone use anime artwork sleeves? (I'm talking about ones from Japan that have artwork of actual anime characters, not American-made ones that just have crappy anime-style artwork on the back.) I have two sets - two different characters and made by two different companies - but they both have the same problem of being really hard to weave shuffle (taking two halves of the deck and pushing one half into the other). The edges seem to be stiffer than Dragonshield or Ultra Pro sleeves, so they don't seem to like sliding into each other. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this kind of problem.
I am thinking about getting the Magic Art sleeves by Ultra Pro, the ones with Nicol Bolas on them. I have heard bad things in general about art sleeves along with some bad things about Magic art sleeves. Can anyone else on here verify? Because it would be so wicked awesome to sleeve up a Nicol Bolas EDH deck in Nicol Bolas sleeves, and play it all on my Nicol Bolas playmat.

I got those a few months ago, I use them for cube drafting, they are not PTQ/Nationals quality, but they are not terrible either.

I don't believe so.
Do you guys know where to get those harder plastic sleeves that are used by companies to ship cards?

What are your favorite sleeves based on quality and durability?
Ultra-Pro has been disapointing for me.
The Japanese non-matte ones are the best so far.
The Japanese Matte finish ones are okay.
I think next Im going to try Players Choice.
EDIT: Solid colored backs only please.
Merged with official thread.

I guess I forgot to add, I like solid colored backs.
However, for a 60 card deck, I find there's nothing better than KMC Black Matte Sleeves.
