NPH appears to be packed in a different way from the large sets. There have been reports of boxes with 2 mythics, as well. The boxes seem to be rather random compared to normal, so just count yourself as lucky.
I will be opening a case Tuesday and will update on the total from the boxes.

Odds of pulling a JtMS from a WWK pack: 1:80
Odds of pulling any specific rare in 5th Edition: 1:133
So, on average, 1 JtMS every 2.222 boxes or 1 Bird of Paradise every 3.694 boxes. Yeah, I'll take my odds with Mythics, they are easier to get than old rares.

We opened 30 boxes for singles and got 158 mythics and 10 foil mythics. So not counting the foils thats 5.2667 mythics per box if you include the foils 5.6.
I had 3 mythic in the first box , 4 in the second and six in the third , so gone are the days of a set minimum number of mythics per box .
Being someone who has opened my share of boxes, I've never seen a time when this was the case. It's always been 1 in 8 packs, and some days you get the short end of that ratio. I've had my share of 5 mythic boxes, but also 4 and 6.
I did well for mythics in my 2 boxes as I got 6 and 5 mythics respectively. Got 2 mythics in my fat pack as well. However, I know there is balance in boxes because for every 5 mythic box there is a 3 mythic box. For every 6 mythic box there is a 2 mythic box. I beleive if you opened hundreds of boxes you would get very close to the 1 in 8 ratio that WotC claims.
However, don't get too excited for my luck as I now am the proud owner of a playset of Etched Monstrosity cards.

Indeed, looking at the print sheets we can see that it is EXACTLY 1 in 8, unless they throw out some mythic's after they are printed (which seems unlikely) there is exactly a 1 in 8 change (not counting foils)... so for everytime someone opens less than the average 4,5 Mythics, someone opens more
I wonder if this was to prevent mapping? I really hope WOTC does something to prevent mapping as it has made everyone paranoid to buy boosters that are not in a sealed box.

1 in 8 packs is just a ratio. With randomness involved, sometimes it's more, sometimes its less. If you'd like to brag/complain about the number of mythic rares you opened, we have a thread for that.

13 mythics sound right?
If you cant kill a planeswalker, you are not playing magic.
3 boxes = 108 boosters, 1 in 8 is staticticly a mythinc... so the average would be 13,5 mythics... 13 seems quite on par...
