I had a young wolf in play and then I put a Essence of the Wild into play, I attacked with the young wolf and it died triggerings it's undying ability, but when the wolf came back it was still a wolf and not a copy of the Essence of the Wild, what happen? This was MTGO, so if it didn't change, it has to be right. Any help, thanks.

This was MTGO, so if it didn't change, it has to be right.
First off, please be aware that just because it happened on MTGO, does not make it right, as computer programs are not in any way infallible. Second of all, it's likely this has nothing to do with rules issues and much more likely it's some kind of glitch/bug that needs to be reported to wizards.
In addition to this issue - if you cast a creature spell while have only one Essence of the Wild in play and your opponent responds to you casting the spell by removing the Essence from play, the creature you cast DOES come into play as a copy of the Essence even though the Essence is no longer in play.
Apparently the programming on Essence is only set to trigger upon a creature spell being cast. And once that spell is cast, the trigger can't be undone. The response I got from WotC basically said that they have no idea when this issue might get fixed.

Apparently MTGO is only set to trigger for Essence of the Wild when a spell is cast. I've tried it with Green Sun's Zenith, Chord of Calling, Tooth and Nail, Birthing Pod, Verdant Force and living weapons - all of those creatures came into play as themselves instead of copying the Essence.
