"Each card has been printed using a foil process unique to the From the Vault series."
This is a VERY bad thing. FTV Legends are the worst warping foils I have ever seen. It's astonishing to me that Magic collectors have been griping about foil quality, and they have gotten WORSE. Now they are actually advertising a FTV unique foil process as a point of sale??? Ugh. This screams incompetence to me.
I guess getting a set of Ravnica shock lands would be too much to ask. Aside from that I'd like to see mutavault. Grove of the Burnwillows and the GW ping land that you can sac to draw a card would be good, too. Maze of Ith would obviously be a good one. That's not on the reserve list is it? What about Karakas? I think that Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is a pretty obvious one that we'll see. Maybe Blinkmoth Nexus. Regardless I can easily see this being the first FTV set that I want to buy to actually open and use the cards from. Then again, it could end up being the most valuable FTV set that they've released.

Spike cares more about the quantity of wins than the quality. For example, Spike plays ten games and wins nine of them. If Spike feels he should have won the tenth, he walks away unhappy.

I think the warping is a challenge, but warping aside I find the foil job to be better than regular foils, PDS, or Duel-Deck stars which is probably what they are trying to advertise. Who knows maybe they'll figure out how to fix it. Very difficult thing to fix, as plastic/foil sheets inherently dry and constrict at different tension than the paper back of the card. I've found double-sleeved in a binder to lessen the bend over time...

They advertise the foiling process for all ftv series, and they all use the same one.
I guess OP wants it to be 'keyworded' like "dies" was. What word would you replace ETB with though?
When Aegis Angel is born?
When Huntmaster of the Fells arrives?
When Kitchen Sphinx lands?
When Faerie Imposter busts in?
When Dread Cacodemon pops in?
When Malfegor shows up?

double sided foils are about the only way to fix warping.

As long as you keep the cards in a humidor set at the right temperature and moisture level, the foils never curl. The trouble is finding a humidor large enough to play in.
In my experience comming in to play tapped is not a big deal in EDH either. I use plenty of CITPT lands in EDH.
I use lots of them as well, my Sliver Queen EDH deck has twelve nonbasics in it, all of which come into play tapped. I don't think it is ever that big of a deal.
Anyone else think that we may see Homeward Path in here as a foil? Since Command Tower is pretty much out, I have a feeling it will make a showing as a Commander related Land.

I know it is possible, but I really hope not. I say that because it is a kinda situational card or it has to be in a deck that it makes sense in (ie. a Zedruu the Greathearted EDH deck).

Lol. This made me think. voice over. "He plays in a walk in humidor so keep his foils from bending. He once kept an all land hand just to know what it felt like to be mana flooded. He uses power nine for ante. He is the most interesting magic playing in the world." Old man, "I don't always tap basic lands for mana, but when i do, I tap Gurus."
Yeah, putting my vote for foil Guru Basics.

Does anyone know where i can buy this at somewhere close to MSRP? My local game store sells FTV sets for $100 and i am NOT playing that much.
The only time I ever got one of these at MSRP was at GenCon, standing in line for an entire day being one of the first 100 people to get the "ticket" to purchase one of them from the vendors at 34.99 I believe. Other than that, I've never seen them sell for MSRP.

CIPT Mana fixing can cripple Slivers if you use too many.
I run very little. I tried, but in the end, decided to invest in fetchable lands that come in to play untapped or have the option to if needed.
That said, do I play shocks tapped? Yes, quite often.
I think mana bases really depend on the speed of your playgroup though.

Some local stores will put a limited number of them for sale for retail. But I suspect most will just sell on ebay for the higher price.
Yeah, probably. I guess in EDH the point of damage from City of Brass isn't a big deal.
I would love a Dryad Arbor reprint. I used to use it all the time since it was essentially a free, uncounterable Llanowar Elves (not that anyone counters Llanowar Elves on a regular basis, though). A reprint of Dryad Arbor probably would have some rules text on it, since Dryad Arbor isn't a spell and it's affected by summoning sickness (I copied that word for word off of the card).
That's reminder text, not rules text, it's just for clarification. It could be left off, especially in a set like this that's aimed at higher-level players.

But slightly more on topic, what about a foil Arabian Nights Mountain with the original art, old card frame and all?

Yeah, I can see how they could reprint it without the text now that you bring up the "player level" notion. It is a very good point.

I don't see how, is there another Mountain that is single handily destroyed by a card that can't hit any other Mountain? In a legal set I mean.
