Stocks of the Sleepless 2WB
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant Creature or Planeswalker
Enchanted permanent cannot attack, block, or use activated abilities. During your upkeep, enchanted permanent's controller loses 1 life.
I think when we're talking about rarity we have to reconsider our standards. When Detention Sphere and Dreadbore appeared, I was seriously stunned that they were rare. They took some uncommon effects and stapled a snazzy addition onto the card. So I bet there will be some Orzhov effect like a exile or creature destruction spell that we would expect at uncommon, but it'll be just a wee bit stronger than normal...
Genius! I dream of Vindicate Ring. It's one saving grace could be that enchantment removal is pretty strong at the moment. That means they could easily get the land back. It'll also give modern a strong tool to deal with annoying utility lands.
Vindicate ring doesn't seem too powerful. You'd probably need another 3cc land destruction card before it was a viable strategy.
Here's my best guess
~ 1BW
Enchant player
When ~ enters the battlefield, name a card. Search enchanted player's hand, library, and graveyard for all cards with that name and exile them.
When ~ leaves the battlefield, shuffle the cards exiled with ~ into their owner's library.
At the beginning of enchanted player's upkeep, that player loses one life.
Not exactly O-ring, since they don't get the cards back in their hand. It doesn't seem overpowered though; it basically works the same as Nevermore.

Some facts of magic:
-Terror is an emotion which, when experienced, results in death.
-The pox was a disease notorious for having killed one-third, rounded up, of Europe’s population. Smallpox, on the other hand, killed only a single person.
-A person riding a horse cannot be stopped by foot soldiers, large animals, walls, archers, or even catapults.
1WB THing
When ~ enters the battlefield, exile target nonland permanent. At the beginning of your upkeep, target player loses life equal to the exiled cards converted mana cost
I personally think it'll be an Oblivion Ring with life loss, but how about this:
1WB Enchantment - Aura
When ~ enters the battlefield, look at target player's hand and choose target nonland permanent or card in that player's hand. Exile that card.
When ~ leaves the battlefield, return the exiled card to its owner's hand.

Affliction Sphere 1WB
Enchantment
When Affliction Sphere enters the battlefield, exile target non-land permanent.
Spells with the same name as the exiled card can't be cast.
When Affliction Sphere leaves the battlefield, return the exiled card to the battlefield under its owner's control
I *really* like this.
I would be all over it in Commander-
Unlike O-ring, this can keep other Generals out of play.
This could be fun in a deck with Nevermore and Meddling Mage.
Momir Vig, Simic Visionary
Melek, Izzet Paragon
Oona, Queen of the Fae
Bruna, Light of Alabaster
Gisela, Blade of Goldnight
Rhys the Redeemed
Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord
Sen Triplets
The Mimeoplasm WUBRGSliver OverlordGRBUW WUBRGSliver Hivelord(Superfriends)GRBUW
This seems really bad considering last time they got Mortify.
I like the idea of Vindicate ring, but it seems unlikely given that they don't print 3 mana LD anymore. An O-ring that makes the owner of the exiled card lose one life every turn could be neat. Or what about
Affliction Sphere 1WB
Enchantment
When Affliction Sphere enters the battlefield, exile target non-land permanent.
Spells with the same name as the exiled card can't be cast.
When Affliction Sphere leaves the battlefield, return the exiled card to the battlefield under its owner's control
Exclusion Ritual that gives it back? That would be interesting but probably cost at least 2WB.

Sometimes I feel like the word "interactivity" around here is akin to the word "electrolytes" in sports drinks. The public doesn't really know what it means, but they figure it's a good thing to have.

I would just like to point out that this card is basically unprintable. Oh you're playing rdw? Okay guess I'll just name "mountain." I would assume you meant "nonland card." In which case I love it!

there is o-ring in standard and detention sphere. i highly doubt they will print another 3cmc spell which says: "exile target nonland permanent".
this would be 3 cards which are nearly the same, besides 1 sideeffect. i agree to some people who say, there will be something like pillary or so. but not another 3cmc o-ring alternative.

Though your design is solid, I am pretty certain they will not print an enchant player card.
They just did it a block ago with a keyword, and before that I cant even remember the last time they printed an enchant player card.
I do think a surgical extraction/o-ring effect can be very likely. The only thing that bothers me though is that you will be able to play 12 copies of O-ring in std.
The reverse Faith fetters (2 damage instead of 4 life) I dig too though, inserting a nonland clause at 3 cmc, I dont know if I would play it at 4 cmc with a land clause though.

The Internet was a revelation to me, I never imagined there are so many idiots on this planet.
Discard is often refered as pain (Mental Pain). So, based on the text that says that a Detention Sphere was stolen and converted into a pain inflict device, it might be related to discard.

Discard was always more of a Dimir thing but you may be onto something. Shrieking Afliction seems very much like an orzhov card and rewards you for making ppl discard.

There is buried treasure everywhere...in a graveyard.
One thing is certain: If Orzhov and Dimir get really good control cards, you can bet your bottom dollar I'll bring back Esper Control to take on all the Thragtusks in the world, and nobody will stop me!
Since everybody else is guessing, I'll throw this in.

I don't believe we will ever see this card, but I had fun making it at least.
Exactly what I was thinking we might see; a combo of Pillory of the Sleepless and Faith's Fetters. Two fan favorites wrapped up into one. Good design.

When ~ comes into play, exile target land. Controler of that land may search there library for a basic land and put it into their hand.
Red for land destruction, white for the exile.
Not really land destruction (that Wizards hates), really just makes them miss a land drop and can mess up color intensive decks.
