I was unsure if this had already been in the rotation of the speculation thread, but I figured it was worth putting up since I had not seen it in here. I wanted to talk about the picture that was provided of the Prerelease kit that we will purchase for the prerelease when RTR hits.
Upon looking at the information, I noticed that the two RTR booster pack images remind me of two cards that we have seen previously before in the world of Ravnica.
On the left, it looks like we have Savra, Queen of the Golgari, and on the right, it looks like Loxodon Hierarch. I know Savra will not be making another appearance since she's dead, and as for the Loxodon, I doubt he'll be coming back either.
The speculation is, what do you think these cards will be? Don't they look like those two cards I mentioned though?
Take your monoblack deck, then set aside 14 swamps. Add 4 Creeping Tar Pits, 4 Darkslick Shores, 4 Drowned Catacombs, and 2 Jwar isle Refuge and add 4 Jace, the Mindsculptors. Your monoblack deck is instantly better. Better yet, drop those refuges, throw in some islands and some mana leaks, and lo and behold, you're now playing a real deck. Congratulations. Welcome to the world of competitive M:TG.
Loxo's are GW. This block looks to be including (if not entirely) elements of nature reclaiming Ravnica.
Who do you think is behind it?
Nicol Bolas. See,he has to make Rav wild again so someone will get mad and try to recivilate it,so he can jump in at the last minute to stop the massive ritual and redirect the magic to fuse the Eldrazi with the Phyrexians,so he can create an all powerful neo Father of Machines whom he can use in his own ritual to regain his full Planeswalker abilities! .....Seriously though, who knows? We have Merfolk in rav now,for all we know there was a massive insurgence of Loxodon immigrants and now Franky Peanuts is in league with Orzhova! Ok..ok I'll stop now bahahah

You forgot about all of the llurghoyfs and how they want to have Urza's babies.
These are ways to cheat death. It's a magical world. There are even magical purple flying hippos.
In the story Savra is killed and turned into a zombie slave by the old Golgari guild master. Jared, her brother, destroys her completely and defeats the old master, taking over the guild in the process.
And before you say any thing about ghosts. The Golgari ritual to create a zombie involves a semi destruction of the soul of the victim.

The only people crazy enough to bring back the Lord of the Wastes are not smart enough to pull it off. Thus, Yawgmoth will not return.
The pieces of Urza that was left over after the Legacy Weapon was fired, got used up when Karn sealed the Tolarian rift. As such, Urza will not return.
Savra was not important enough to be resurrected. She may return as a spirit, but that is unlikely.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
In MtG, there's dead, and then there is really dead. Those who you mentioned are really dead. As of right now. I guess they could come back but we've already figured out that the packs are from Ravnica: City of Guilds, so it's not Savra.
The only people I would want to bring back from the grave are Venser and Urza. Venser was a nice guy and I felt bad when he died and Urza was not as nice but very cool and it was sad when he died too. It was sad to watch them sacrifice themselves in order to help save their worlds.

No, Urza was not cool, he was a Mary Sue. Taysir on the other hand was cool.
Either way, Venser and Urza will not be returning. If Venser returned, his sacrifice wouldn't carry the same emotional weight. And I have already explained why Urza will not be returning.

That, and you know what they say. If Wizards started shipping $100 bills in boosters tomorrow, people would scream and cry and whine that they were folded the wrong way.

If they are other boosters than they could have put them there just to show how it would look on the inside.

The big bad of this block is a Loxodon that has the same personality as Captain Pollution, Captain Planet's opposite.
Although seeing a zombie loxodon would be pretty awesome.

See, that's the thing I don't get about MTG sometimes. Yawgmoth's dead, Urza's dead, Savra is dead, so they won't make another appearance.
What are these : Debtors' Knell, Rise from the Grave, Animate Dead, Living Death, Karmic Guide??

It's just magical flying hippos. Hippos that are magical are always purple.
