Standard : No changes
Modern: Wild Nacatl banned, Punishing Fire banned
Legacy: No changes
Vintage: Don't follow metagame but they may unrestrict something to shake it up.
This is probably a conservative route for Modern. They could unban Jace but I think they would rather see what the 2 bannings do to the format and then make more changes in 3 months if needed.
I fail to see Punishing Fire as present as some people complain, although it might just be my Modern metagame.
It is a very efficient reusable burn spell along with Grove of the Burnwillows. It makes Zoo (likely the most popular deck in Modern right now) even better and it pretty much invalidates weenie strategies because anything with less than 3 resistance can fall prey to Punishing Fire. It's a wee bit too efficient for what it does.
Ban Grove then, if it's the enabler of Zoo's strategy and key to a reusable removal card (which would otherwise be an overcosted shock).
Banning Grove would also be fine, there's probably another slightly less neat way to continually recur Punishing Fire though, so it's probably safer to just ban the business rather than the engine.

Sure unban memory jar if you want mud/red decks to reign supreme. Have you seen the goblin welder interaction with jar? And guess why jar is also broken. It costs no specific color of mana so literally any deck can play it. Rather not have it let loose in legacy to wreak havoc.
Banning grove only works if they never finish that cycle of lands. The right move here is to ban punishing fire, of that I'm sure. And punishing fire is completely unplayable without grove while grove is at least a semi decent colorfixer. Also has a neat interaction with kavu predator.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."

Which makes me question why Punishing Fire is such an issue in the first place.
Chances are when, if ever, they decide to complete the cycle, you'd just rota back in Grove and take out Punishing Fire. That or the metagame would've changed to a degree where the interaction is a non-issue.
I absolutely do not want Ancestral Visions to be unbanned. It's an auto-4-of in every single deck that plays blue, and even some that wouldn't normally play blue, which does not lead to a diverse and interesting format. People want it unbanned because it is, more often than not, a 1-mana spell with "You Win the Game" printed in the text box. I mean that just the way I typed it - if this spell resolves, then more often than not the player who cast it will win the game. Just because the game lasts for a few more agonizing turns while the blue player grinds you out doesn't change the fact that it was essentially AV that read "You Win the Game." That is not a fun card. 1-mana "you win if this resolves" spells are not fun cards in most formats.
I hope they ban Nacatl, personally. That change might diversify the zoo decks enough to avoid other bannings ... Not sure on that, though; Punishing Fire might need to go too.
I applaud Wizards for trying to make a format that is not just completely dominated by updated standard lists from past seasons. Some of us don't WANT to play Faeries for the 47 millionth time. So when people say, "Oh, they need to unban x, y, and z" so that they can play an updated x or y standard deck, I think they're missing the point of the format - that is, to be a diverse and NEW format, not just more of the same with a slightly bigger card pool.

That's just not true. Considering how fast Modern is, you'll be dead sometime between the turn before and the turn after Visions finally resolves. Even in Standard (obviously a much slower format) this was not an auto-4-of, and that's in the time of Faeries!

Whoa, this unban list is wild. Goblin Recruiter? Doesn't that card just allow you to stack your deck?
I only play Legacy and EDH (Does anybody know if they're going to include EDH in the restricted/banned cards announcement this time?) so no idea about Vintage, Standard or Modern... But I really think there are some cards in legacy that shouldn't be banned, at least they should consider unbanning them...
EDH is like French fries: some people like waffle cut, crinkle cut, or plain old straight cut, and while there's slight flavor difference and personal preference, at the end of the day they're still fries.

Only Vintage has a restricted list. All other formats only ban cards.

Like using Bazzar Trader to pass them a Memnite enchanted with Lifelink and Bloodshed Fever?
Ok, that was partly in jest, but I can't think of anything neater.

Most broken format ever.

Except the people that play vintage and have already discussed it. Before you chimed in with your TLDR waste of a post.
Either this is a simple mistake or someone there knows something about Survival getting unbanned in Legacy.
Practice for Khans of Tarkir Limited:
Draft: (#1) (#2) (#3) (#4) (#5)
Can't unban survival just like you can't unban flash. Some decks would just devour the format.
Unban - Land Tax and Earthcraft
Wizards has stated that they will not take over Commander, therefore they will have no say over the suggested ban list.
