Seriously, enough with reprinting jace. If you NEED to play with him, cough up the money and buy a playset. Just because you can't afford a card doesn't mean they need to make it a common so everyone can have it. It's how the game works. If everyone had access to every card, the game wouldn't be as much fun.
Sure, it sucks that the name of the game is "Whoever has the most money has the best deck" but if you don't like that, this really isn't the game for you. You need to accept that and either move on to a less expensive hobby, or just make the best with the cards/money you've got and be happy with that.
If they won't reprint real duals for any reason, don't hold your breath waiting for them to reprint jace just because he's too expensive/rare. Duals are pretty much required for legacy, and the availability of them is going down every day due to wear and tear and the fact that people more people want to play in legacy. Jace hasn't even been in rotation for a year and isn't played that much anywhere but in standard and casual.
The ONLY reason he is worth so much is because he's in such a crappy set and he's mythic. Buying a box of worldwake is pretty much just a feeble attempt at getting a jace at a discount. You won't get much else that makes up for not getting a jace.
When was the last time they printed something JUST to bring the price down? If anything, they are more likely to give us Goyf simply because people are ditching them like crazy with the new ext format changes.
I don't see where you are saying $70-80 on eBay because that's not true. Black Lotus Project puts him at $64, but the last 13 auctions actually ended in the $59-60 range.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
Nah man. If they really want to reduce the price of Jace 2.0, they'll make "Duel Decks: Gideon VS The Mind Sculptor." It sounds like a hero on supervillain fight, seriously. I wouldn't mess with a supervillain calling his or herself The Mind Sculptor.
I have prolly bought around 2 to 3 box's of worldwake and still have not gotten a damn Jace. I do own a playset, but my theopry is there are 2 kinds of mythics. Walker Mythic level + Other Mythic. Youll see the other mythics first everytime. I dunno what the deal is with me and ROE but I have Pulled 2 gideons and 4 sarkhan the mad. and 4 of em camr from random single packs.
With the direction Wizards is going they do need to interfere. Instead of changing the formats, and making sets a lil crappier everytime, mess with the second market instead. They are way to chummy with Star city games. That mess needs to stop asap. They should have no interactions with any of the second market period.
EDIT: Meh it will be like Next september if they make Jace 2.0 duel deck. Like how they are screwing us over with the Elspeth duel deck. Keep making product with crappy mythics and walkers. <3 Lorwyn five, Pray I do not open any.
EDIT2: and if they do a green promo, what are they going to do lol. There is no high value playable green cards really. Not at any level. Textless foil naturalize?

I personally think that if we are getting a new copy of The Wallet Sculptor as a promo it will be when DotP is released on the PS3. Simply put, it's the easiest way to make Sony happier, whom they seem to have a closer relationship to compared to the other game companies simply due to a separate release made by Sony. The concept seems very much like a win-win situation allowing Sony to have major bragging rights and giving wiz a way to up there profits while keeping a major staple card out of the dreaded "Legacy bubble" price range.
Tarmogoyf? seriously, greenreward should be staple, and green is about creatures. Tarmogoyf is easy to understand, (small rules text).
Jace the mindsculptor has too much text. everyone remember cryptic command...

It's in Wizard's best interest to keep the bar to entry of Standard as low as possible, since standard is meant to be an entry level format. No other product has an entry level thing that costs as much as high end versions. Which is the case right now with Standard and Legacy. Imagine getting smashed by a Jace at your first tournament. You want to get new players to keep playing the game, not to discourage them from playing it with ridiculously expensive cards.
