The quote very clearly has to do with making things come into play untapped.
i wouldn't say it's very clear at all. the first thing i thought upon reading it is that it clearly makes one person's permanents come into play tapped.
"who doesn't like their permanents to come into played untapped?"....well, generally, most permanents do already citp untapped.
"it would be a pretty cheap shot if not everyone was invited." sounds like something that takes a "cheap shot" at someone or a color or even creature type to make them citp tapped.
Except that the title of the thread is "Untapped" and he immediately follows it up with "Yeah, untapped."
@thewoodler: My panties are clean and nicely folded, thank you. It's just annoying when so many people post things that are obviously wrong. If people just took two seconds to think through their ideas or even do a quick bit of research, then we wouldn't get half as many wrong ideas as we do.
Second Untap World (5)
Artifact
Spend only mana of one color to cast Second Untap World. Note the color of mana used to cast Second Untap World.
Whenever a permanent of this color would enter the battlefield tapped under your control, it enters the battlefield untapped instead.
There are only 12 colored cards that enter the battlefield tapped in the history of Magic, so the odds of it being this are slim to none.
Frankly I don't think I want to waste about 20-50 minutes just to skim-read all 18 pages of this thread, but has anyone considered it being a green enchantment at all?
I would make sense to me seeing that most untap effects come from either green and blue. and since Blue already has Frozen AEther, I think that a polar opposite of this enchantment would make sense in green too.

Sacrifice ~this~. Any player may play this ability.

Well, I think that should be good enough to see print. I placed that second ability in there since the OP states that "It's a cheap shot if not everyone is invited." So what perfect way to make it more interesting by letting it have an ability to make him so unfair for everybody else in the table!

Marit Lage has shown the ability to move from one plane to another. Not saying she is going to show up in Zendikar, but perhaps she is an Eldrazi, and simply escaped when Sorin sealed the Eldrazi away the first time.

My totally lame custom set: Cheese
You should tell me how much it sucks. Really, I can take it.
I doubt it extends to all permanents... because that would break the game too much.
Am I missing something here, because I keep seeing people say its so powerful but to me its completely worthless. What playable cards would this even affect, other than Nevinryaals disk and CipT lands?

In regards to the possibility that the meaning to this clue is that it will cause permanents to come into play tapped, it is possible, however I don't think I've noticed Captain Black not knowing how clues work.
So either it provides a replacement effect for things that ETBT to not do so, or he got really bad at trying to provide hints for us to have a remote idea of what he wants us to know.
It wouldn't exactly be broken with Disk... it'd be spending 2 or maybe 1 to speed up Disk... which is what Mind Stone would do for 2 mana. Then you'd lose this card to the Disk...
What happened to this thread? Is no one interested anymore? I doubt Captain Black will bother to continue spoiling this card if nobody shows an interest.
On the other hand, I can't see any other way to interpret the clues than what other posters have already speculated.
Speaking of "untapped", it appears in the Orb. Once.
Interesting......
EDIT: To elaborate, two instances of "permanents", 14 of "tapped", 6 of "instead". Doesn't really narrow things down, but we sure can tie the instance of "untapped" to this card.
All permanents that would enter the battlefield tapped become untapped.
With this interpretation, any color deck would have access to this effect. And we are in the land block after all...
This is actually extremely incorrect and you obviously haven't read all of Captain Black's posts (which doesn't involve reading the whole thread mind you). He states that this is something you cast. You don't cast lands.
timevault is so insane. its like if this land were to exist vintage and everything else would get flipped upside down. Its like timevault is a Titan that the gods locked away long ago via errata and now this dark scion has come to restore evil to the world once more! If its true wow lets see some fun fetchland tricks in the process! I'd like to see the RAV block lands being even better.

I had a list of reasons on why this would be a wonderful card, and even for that matter a broken card....but hey a guy can have dreams right....

so, no. not "very clear," imo.

Maybe Awakening? Your lands don't come into play tapped, but you get to untap for your opponent's turn?
Seriously though, Marit Lage looks like she could be an Eldrazi Titan.

Is this going straight in your Scarwood Treefolk deck or something?
I lol'ed.
All your fetch spells that put land onto the battlefield tapped now don't.
Can be fun when you New Frontiers!
