Blood Baron is... disappointing. Two requirements really? I mean a 4/4 for 5 with lifelink and double protection isn't bad really, but it doesn't feel mythic. The second ability does but the requirements for it are a bit... ugh outside of multiplayer games.
Deadbridge Chant is unimpressive. Heavy cost for random results can sometimes be fun but this card doesn't feel mythic to me and certainly not my play style.
I admit my initial reaction to Blood Baron was more tied to his boost ability. Taking a step back the card isn't that bad.
My problem with the Baron is his cost as I feel Orzhov already has a good 5 drop in Obzedat. If he cost 4 mana and was a 3/4 I could see wanting him more in my deck because the protections he has are really good. I like the Obzedat a lot though and this guy just feels like he's trying to compete for the same spot in a deck.
The advantage of the Baron is his immunity to most targeted removal, while Obzedat just avoids sorcery speed removal. The upside for Obzedat is that he doesn't die to sweepers like Baron does.
Take your monoblack deck, then set aside 14 swamps. Add 4 Creeping Tar Pits, 4 Darkslick Shores, 4 Drowned Catacombs, and 2 Jwar isle Refuge and add 4 Jace, the Mindsculptors. Your monoblack deck is instantly better. Better yet, drop those refuges, throw in some islands and some mana leaks, and lo and behold, you're now playing a real deck. Congratulations. Welcome to the world of competitive M:TG.
I want altered art of the Baron as the Monarch from Venture Bros. I mean look at the face. The same. Minus the eyebrows.

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?

Deadbridge Chant, on the other hand, is AMAZING.
Instant add in Mimeoplasm and Jarad.
Reprint Stasis!

Orzhov is all about restriction. On your opponents, and you. Seems like no one can get a better deal than the Orzhov.
I see what you did there.
if only it were 5cc.
Orchov mythic is soso. serra ascendant is way better, but will be a nice finisher, esp. with that protection.
My WTB - EDH stuff
Deadbridge Chant seems kind of busted. Can we go ahead and call this set EDH/Commander.Set ? zzzzzzzzzzzzz
Cōnservātum album delenda est.
Haha, I see what you did there.
Anywho on topic, neither are my cup of tea, but for competitives sake but I approve of the utility of the enchantment.
