Whoah, these cards really have the wow factor! Hellkite Overloard seems random as hell. How did they even come up with this? It doesn't really seem to fit in Ravnica at all, as there are hardly any artifacts, but heck, maybe I should give this a shot in my Kaalia EDH deck!
Enter the Infinite is just hilarious. Blue gets the best huge, "what the hell?" cards.
Aurelia looks amazing! But what deck would run her? Her mana cost makes her too much for aggro, where her ability really shines. Would mid-range have enough creatures for it to be relevant? She swings for 6 by herself, which isn't terrible at all. Very exciting card.
Borborygamos has a built-in, amped up Seismic Assault which fuels itself. That's pretty cool. Definitely like him a lot more than the original.
Domri: Definitely didn't see this guy coming. I thought for sure that we'd have Kiora, so I'm still rather puzzled about this. Where is Kiora? Will she not be in this block? Hm...
He's (she's?) aggresively-costed, has a good Loyalty to cost ratio, and his +1 is card advantage if it hits. But that's the big if. A Fight ability is always good, but sucks if you have no creature out or one that can't win the fight. His ulimate is nuts, as Planeswalker ultimates usually are, but is kinda win-more (again, like a lot of Planeswalker ultimates).
If he's trying to sell these, it is unlikely they are fake - any experienced Magic player would probably be able to assess their authenticity within seconds.
Could be that they're playing on the fact that Wizards also prints "bad" cards. Kind of like a reverse psychology.
Regarding the authenticity of the cards, I find it a little weird that Domri is pretty small within his card frame. Seems like it should offer more of a close-up with something popping out of the frame.
Yeah the fact that Domri doesn't pop out of the frame in any way AND doesn't have any part of the art semivisible in the area of his abilities is pretty damning evidence that he's fake(the only planeswalker to not have part of their art show up outside the frame is Nissa). Other than that they did a good job coming up with abilities and flavor text that seem at least sort of plausible. Here are my thoughts.
Hellkite Tyrant: Ok so this steals all your opponents artifacts when he hits them that kind of is a dragon thing to do, hoarding treasures. Not really relevant at all since there are hardly any artifacts in standard right now that matter but I guess people play lots in edh and everyone loves alternate win conditions.
Aurelia: At first glance she seems plausible but the more i think about it I'm not sure they would really print a 6 mana creature that gives you an extra combat every turn for no additional investment, seems bonkers good especially with haste and vigilance.
Damri: Abilitywise seems totally plausible.
Borborygmos Enraged: Mmmm not sure on this guy. The fact that he mini mulches every time he hits and gives you a pretty silly good outlet for all those extra lands youll be getting seems almost too much.
Enter the Infinite: Seems like a really dumb card to print especially considering M13 gave us omniscience, can't really see WOTC overlooking that interaction.
Overall this smells fishy and by fishy I mean fake. OH well what did I expect?
edit: well now we just have to wait for someone to see the cards in person and take a look with a jewelers loup(if that's even necessary they should be pretty obviously fake in person even without I'd think). Not looking good for their legitimacy right now though.
You can clearly see domri's legs under the abilities to the poster above. And while frame popping art has been a trend lately, I wouldn't dismiss it just because of that. If the artist submitted a good portrait that didn't have anything that would need or look good in such a style they could've left the art like so.
Domri is a little small in the frame which does make him look more like a legendary than a Planeswalker, and it's true that he doesn't pop out of the frame, but he's not the only planeswalker to not pop out. Nissa Revane doesn't pop out of the card frame either.
But if these are fake, they're the best fakes I've ever seen. The flavor text is great, they're foil, which would make faking them a lot more difficult, and if they are, where did the art come from? I know we've had Borbory's and Aurelia's art, but where did the art for Hellkite Tyrant, Enter the Infinite and Domri come from? I've never seen them before.

It has a lot more interaction than Ash Zealot at least?

Yeah I see it now that I look closer but as far as frame popping, like I said everyone save nissa revane, and the duel decks garruk and liliana(that's only 3/43 arts) pop and as far as things that would look good popping out the side of the frame that staff he's holding looks like it would be a perfect candidate for sticking out. Good points though, there can always be exceptions.
Domri may also look small in his frame because he seems to look quite a lot like he might be a goblin. Do we happen to remember the name of that one from the very early boros story from forever ago?

I'm not going to call fake on them just yet, because there isn't a whole lot of evidence suggesting it. However, the size of the art on Domri just seems weird. Compared to Sorin 2, who's art is similar in pose and angle, why didn't they just zoom in on Domri? This just makes him seem small, like a young teenager who happens to have a spark.
Wizards can break trends, sure, and that's probably what they did. But I'll still think its weird after it's confirmed/denied as a card.
They look real enough to me and the abilities seem awesomely bland enough to not be overpowered. I'm kinda excited to see if they ever print anything to combo with omniscience for standard along with this new draw your deck spell. (I.E. some sort of show and tell that is maybe enchantments only). The dragon made me think of mirrodin when affinity was running around where instead of big red accelerating into arc-slogger with seething song and other nonsense could have accelerated into this guy to beat affinity would have been funny and awesome. The other cards seem pretty bad which makes them all the more believable.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.
Do you not play edh? or Legacy for that matter? Academy Rector gets Omni, or heck even Dream Halls may make a comeback.
I play EDH, and I realize the shenanigans that will have to go into pulling off the 2-card combo. But, at its base, that's what it is: a combo with two cards requiring 12 mana.
It's a hell of a play, though.
The non-combo was mainly aimed at the fact that, you pull it off and you really don't need to combo past it. It plays itself at that point.
OMG I love these cards, especially Dormi!
That guy's got the potential to be absolutely nuts.
As an aside, can anyone read the collector numbers on them?
I'm getting:
Domri - 150/249
Aurelia - 143/249
Hellkite Tyrant - ???/249
Borborygmos - 147/249
Enter the Infinite - 34/249
but I'm not 100% about it because they're really hard to read.
Domri seems way too "green" to be a RG 'walker. His +1 ability is strictly green, his -2 ability is green/red I guess, but mostly green, and his ultimate is green. I guess it might embody the flavor of Gruul fairly well, but it doesn't seem splashy enough.
That's kinda how I'm feeling too... although it might be fun to make a deck with Aurelia and Gisela. Too bad R/W is the weenie aggro color. I guess I could always pick up a Kahlia of the Vast.
Still, a flying hasty vigilant beater that gives a 2nd attack phase isn't too bad. I'd rather have her than Boborygmos.
let's say Domri's real. why would you never want that guy? he comes down T3 and starts up a CA engine, effectively acting as a Phyrexian Arena for RG Beats that ticks up to an ultimate that reads "play a dude: win the game." Naya in particular would also want something that gross.
Take your monoblack deck, then set aside 14 swamps. Add 4 Creeping Tar Pits, 4 Darkslick Shores, 4 Drowned Catacombs, and 2 Jwar isle Refuge and add 4 Jace, the Mindsculptors. Your monoblack deck is instantly better. Better yet, drop those refuges, throw in some islands and some mana leaks, and lo and behold, you're now playing a real deck. Congratulations. Welcome to the world of competitive M:TG.

Maybe that's exactly what it is. Maybe Domri is just a kid and they had to leave the art zoomed out to emphasize his stature, or lack there of.

The non-combo of the century right there.
