I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.
Nothing in this game is degenerate or completely dominant. They haven't banned anything in standard in a long, long time. Hell they should have banned affinity right away, but they didn't until boxed sales collapsed too. Hasbro had to come in and fire people.
I'll enjoy watching all the whiners eat crow monday.
Huntmaster is absolutely amazing! 4 for two 2/2's and 2 life is somewhat decent, but shock and two at a creature plus trample on a 4/4 is aewsome! And you might even want it to transform again! The wording is a tad confusing, but necessary. Not sure if it will want immerwolf, though.
Artifact killing on a werewolf was probably an obvious decision. Burn 3 is nice. Not totally sure about it though
I don't really see it as a bad draw most of the time. If you draw it and drop it, it's a blatant show that you can and will take away Christmas if someone messes with you.

Good god. Talk about pushing werewolves. Why don't they just give $50 to anyone who wants to run a werewolf deck? I mean, how many bells and whistles can they attach. It poops out tokens, it spot removes enemy creatures, it burns their dome, it gains you life, it tramples, its aggressively costed no matter *how* it gets played, it doesn't die to removal, it punches kittens and eats babies.
Its either going to put werewolves into competitive, or just be a kessig-wolf run fodder creature.
I see Wizards hasn't let up when it comes to giving powerful ETB triggers to creatures nowadays. Considering we know what Huntmaster does now, I don't think that card is mythic at all. It's powerful, but it's more of an efficient creature than being big and splashy like mythics should be.
Take your monoblack deck, then set aside 14 swamps. Add 4 Creeping Tar Pits, 4 Darkslick Shores, 4 Drowned Catacombs, and 2 Jwar isle Refuge and add 4 Jace, the Mindsculptors. Your monoblack deck is instantly better. Better yet, drop those refuges, throw in some islands and some mana leaks, and lo and behold, you're now playing a real deck. Congratulations. Welcome to the world of competitive M:TG.
The werewolf has a very poor interaction with the perma transform wolf Immerwolf. It is pretty powerful, you are getting a bang for your buck with 2 life and 2 2/2.
this thing actually gives you a reason to want to play 2 or more spells a turn, which is kind of nice. Up untill now transformations have not been able to do stuff like this, theses things DO something aswell as spawning a bigger dude. Nice

Half the mythics spoiled so are not flashy and big. One or other. This guy does a ton for a mythic. Feels mythic.
