opponent: jace needs blue counters, not the other colors, so they weren't legal. he had 3 red counters and 2 green on his jace. these are clearly not jace's colors.
They would have been cool with the Mana Symbols on them, but even just the Magic style "M" from the font on the back of the cards would have been better than Avacyn's mark, imo.
Still, I want like 80 of these. It's too bad I'm booked Friday Night for a gig downtown. I would totally go to FNM for this.
While this is pretty cool cause im all about free candy, this does seem a little unfair to the international community. Then again, this is for Halloween. Do other countries celebrate Halloween?
One additional "US only" promotional thing. I guess living in Europe just mean we pay more for boosters, and then get laught at by WotC, while US players pay less and have free candies and the right to whine about pins we never had.
Magic is a whole lot kinder to outer countries than other ccg, pokemon sets come out around 6 months later every set that comes out in Japan and they have no plans of stopping it, while their foils have some actual extra layer of gloss to protect the card, the us foils are typically scratched from opening the booster. Also at least you're not like Korea where they don't even print it in their language forever and when they do it's hella messed up. You're also in Europe right? Where it's a $50 flight to go to almost any other flight within Europe? Seems a lot better than living in Texas and getting a $50 flight to Texas.
Does anybody else think this is a complete waste of money? I mean I love M&Ms but why dont they just give us a special Halloween promo. Its Innistrad for crying out loud. This is the year they could really do something awesome. not M&Ms...

As a pagan holiday, I assumed Europe does Halloween in some capacity. I was actually hoping Europeans would fill us in on if/how they celebrate Halloween. Like is it costumes, trick or treat, parties, etc.

Something more awesome than candy? It is to laugh.
Not real M&Ms. Notice the package doesn't have any markings of authentic M&Ms, the article doesn't give 'M&M' the (TM) it deserves or gives explicit credit to Hersheys, and by replacing the M with an Innistrad logo, the candy itself no longer needs to be an authentic M&M
Also in my country its a personal choice to celebrate halloween. But authorities generally frown on people (even kids) wearing any kind of mask due to the high degree of criminality.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
Granted, they had to cannibalize their fat packs for boosters, so I imagine they decided to mix in some of this to make it feel more special. (The boxes from the fat packs were given away as well.)

America! **** yeah!
The whole FNM&M thing is cute and all, but I honestly hope they never do this again.
They won't ship them to canada due to non-bilingual packaging.
Cool seasonal gift, seems like Wizards is experiencing economic success:p
It's not like you can feed M&M's to a hat. Right?
The thing I am mad about WOTC is not because we don't get M&M's because we are an accessory to the heads of America, but it is the fact that there is this policy that prevents people from America's hat from buying old sealed product from American retailers. The number of online retailers in the US outnumber the amount of online retailers in Canada, and the likelihood of finding a store in your vicinity that sells um, weatherlight boosters is slim to none, without buying from an American online retailer. We, people of America's hat, must travel all across this hat, to find a store that has this sealed product. Americans can just sit there and go click, and they just send that sealed product to them.
It's as if the US has a larger overstock of old product than any other country, and the other countries are not allowed to get their hands on them. I'm not sure if the distributors in the US actually sells or donates or gives overstock of product to distributors of other countries, when they run out though. Maybe that's why some of my local store somehow ordered some Ice Age, Prophecy, Odyssey, Onslaught, and Darksteel booster boxes?

Wizards' website is calling them M&Ms. And there are m's on each piece of candy.

Oh well, at least we got an NHL team back haha.
Too be fair, most stores don't stock older boosters. Most of the game stores I've gone in usually have about the last 3 to 5 years of Magic boosters "on sale". Also, Wizards is an American company, you'd expect that most of their focus would be on the American market. It's like how we don't see too many foreign based companies sell stuff in America for example (unless of course they have specific offices to do such). I'd like to see more global games enter the American market, but it happens both ways as well. :/
Distribution channels are different in every country. That sucks.
These M&Ms are cool. Too bad I can't go to a FNM even if I wanted to.

I just want people who redraft to admit this:
"I can't draft objectively unless I am able to guarantee that I receive at least 3 rares. I am also better than most average/new players so I want to make sure that I get the best rares and they end up with worse ones. I care more about the monetary value of cards than actually playing the game for decent prizes."
This is amusing. Not a big deal in and of itself, but I think that the more Wizards dabbles in promotions and advertisements that exist outside of the main game, the better. Sucks that it's not in other countries, but it's not a big enough thing to really matter.
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.

Is the magic community really this excited over candy? Looking at attendance of local fnms I'm not surprised.
Wotc could have made "Halloween" style cards like basic lands with ghoulish art or something else.
Notice the deck boxes also here is the whole deal:

Probably cost. Custom M&Ms are actually really expensive. So it would be 5 times as expensive to print 5 custom symbols.

Dont give WotC any more dumb non-card ideas to make.
I would much rater have MPR back like 99% of us instead of some silly pack of fake M&M's.
As for euros complaining about pack prices...its all about business. gotta factor in shipping costs and customs.
