Are there rules preventing, say, the store owner having a heart attack from triggering this?
Look grander, dude - it doesn't specify where the human creature dying counts, and, since every second 1.78 people die in the world, I guess you're pretty much guaranteed to do 20+ damage on your fourth turn. Obvious imba.
Take your monoblack deck, then set aside 14 swamps. Add 4 Creeping Tar Pits, 4 Darkslick Shores, 4 Drowned Catacombs, and 2 Jwar isle Refuge and add 4 Jace, the Mindsculptors. Your monoblack deck is instantly better. Better yet, drop those refuges, throw in some islands and some mana leaks, and lo and behold, you're now playing a real deck. Congratulations. Welcome to the world of competitive M:TG.
Village Cannibals - The flavour is awesome but the human only nature makes it much worse than other Khabal Ghoul style creatures.
Snapcaster Mage- This is an awesome invitational card, it's a Recoup on a stick which effects both instants and sorceries.
Slayer of the Wicked- It's pretty cool a 187 card, in flavour it reminds me a lot of Undead Slayer but killing werewolves instead of skeletons.
Instigator Gang / Wildblood Pack - This is a pretty powerful card effectively a Hill Giant which gives other attackers +1/+0 is okay but it's transform form an effective 8/5 trampler which gives other attackers +3/+0. I'll wait until i've personally played with werewolves before making a judge on constructed worthiness, but it's definitely limited strong.
1. Village Cannibals = EPIC.
2. Snapcaster Mage = Not bad. Not bad.
3. Slayer of the Wicked = Buffy's boyfriend?
4. WOW. As hard as the trigger is to pull, the rewards of transforming your Humans are amazing. This with the other rare red werewolf is insane.
That's like saying you wish that Dark Confidant had Deathtouch. It's just not feasible.
how is that even close the same thing?
Dark Confidant doesn't even sound like something that would have deathtouch. It wouldn't fit the card at all.
This card...is blue...has flash...has a typical generic blue creature name that isn't restricted to any tribe other than wizards (which are commonly faeries) It just feels like it should have flying to me. I'm not saying it "should" have flying. when I saw the casting cost, the p/t and the flash ability I went to "oh sweet a cool new faerie guy...oh wait"
Snapcaster Mage doesn't exactly sound like a ground pounder. It feels like a faerie type of name.
Your comment just doesn't relate to anything I said. You're acting like I said "WTF WHY DOESNT THIS THING HAVE FLYING".

It's a blue creature with flash. Snapcaster Mage doesn't exactly sound like a ground pounder. It feels like a faerie type of name.
Um. Clearly I used the Confidant example in regards to card power, not flavor. Putting flying on it would make the card unnecessarily good. Putting deathtouch on Dark Confidant would do the same. Not sure how else I can point this out for you. I don't care if it feels like a faerie, it can't have both flash and flying as printed.
Speaking of the art, what the heck is that supersoaker-esque thing on his arm?
I went ahead and pre-ordered my playset + copy for EDH. Really looking forward to playing with this guy

If this guy had flying he'd actually be the stoneblade.

Wizards are commonly faeries? have you only been playing since Lorwyn block? lol. Wizards have been of varying creature types, but most I've seen seem to be humans

Dark Confidant is already unnecessarily good, and it has very little to do with his 2/1 frame. Thats not why your playing bob.
A more valid comparison would be "giving solemn simulacrum vigilance". You wouldnt be playing solemn for vigilance, your playing him for the +2 he generates.
This card is....pretty good. How would giving it flying make it "unnecessarily good". It's not like you're playing him for his size. Your comment doesn't make much sense.
Vendilion Clique, Mistbind Clique, and Spellstutter Sprite must piss you off pretty bad then.

The flip guy is pretty meh, it seems worse than Hero of Oxid Ridge in prettymuch every case. Not to mention it also has to compete with Koth.

Can't wait to see the picture to go along with that flavor text for Slayer of the Wicked. He needs to look super-cocky.
