Not that I'm sorry to see planeswalker hosers; I'm just sorry to see WHITE planeswalker hosers, and a reprint at that. Is there really no way they could have come up with a decent way to keep planeswalkers in check that didn't involve repeating the same strategy they've used for the past 4 years, since the card type was introduced?
I'm not saying O-Ring is too good at what it does; it just has no competition. Give us some black or green answers!
Wit's End is the PERFECT answer to your opponent's Monomania however.
Just hold on to your Wit's End when they Monomania, so you can Wit's End them on your next turn!!!
I think this is fairly reminiscent of the "Jace Battles" we have seen in past standards.. My guess is we will soon witness the great Monomania-Wit's End battles.

Green has Beast Within, Black has things like Hex Parasite, Dispise... Yup, totally lacking in the Anti-Planeswalker area.
I was actually expecting this after reading this article by Aaron Forsy on the recent bans in standard. Glad to see it back. Hopefully this will prevent bans from being necessary in the future.

I like this card!!! I mean the bannings of Jace 2.0 n SFM kinda look stupid now but people would agrue that Caw Blade would just use this card to control the game more but it also give other decks a way out of thst never ending cycle of crap too but eh GO WOTC!!!
GOOD answers, then. None of those cards remotely compete with O-Ring.
Beast Within seems like a pretty good contender. Instant, kills it dead instead of temporarily exiling it, but gives them a token too. Also has the flexibility of nuking your own stuff for a 3/3.
Very happy about this. I was looking back at Chapins old control deck with Iona (the first successful one to use Jace =P) and then started wishing I had O-Ring back. I ended up building a Mass Polymorph/Splinter Twin deck that runs 3x Journey, and this upgrade is more than acceptable.

In a deck built with it in mind, Beast Within does. It is much more narrow however, since the deck does have to be built with it in mind, whereas Ring can be crammed into any white deck.

What's "Temporarily" Exiling ? O Ring is more like a PERMANENT answer.
Name me one GOOD, PLAYABLE enchantment removal in T2.
A 3/3 is strong. I don't think you've ever played with Beast Within or saw people playing with it .. There must be a reason it sees zero play, right?

War Priest of Thune is a better answer imo. I also dont play green, at all. With ring back and that mythic aura, war priest has a very good chance of showing up in sideboards of white decks.
UB will be even more hard to play since their are almost no answer to enchantment once they hit the table! (besite maybe into the roil + counter/duress .... Great! To answer one card, you need 2!) and hum... forget about ratchet bomb, it's way too slow to get to that point!

Aye yi yi, between O-ring and the fact or fiction sphinx Venser control is going to be an extremely powerful deck. Still, happy to get my hands on some O-rings for my casual/edh decks.

Um... you think Ratchet Bomb is too slow in the proliferate colors... which include artifact untapping?

Oh yeah, you're right, if you have ratchet bomb, voltaic key, and throne of geth or any other less cheap proliferate card, it's actually not too bad to take out ONE card!!!

I like these random guesses, they're so amusing... maybe Force of Will? Maybe Necropotence? Maybe Black Lotus?

Wow. Are you serious?
Bant Blade placed 1rst with that package.
And oring isn't permanent.
how is war priest better than o-ring?
i never said anything close to that. dude asked for good enchantment hosers, war priest fits that bill.

I'm thinking a "Something"-Blade deck did well because of the overpowered/broken SFM and Jace package.
Also, many Bant Blade decks skipped on Beast Within.
