... Well then, I have an Air-plane Sorry for the bad pun...
Well, New Phyrexia is really a win here... But, I predict a stupid and somewhat crazy theory that on April 1, Friday... They'll do a F-in! April Fools on us and reveal that the set will actually be Mirrodin Pure... Making the Hype of New Phyrexia go down the drain...
well that settles it, seeing Norn's size (7 toughness) i'm convinced those are flayer husks she/it/he/whatever has for hands. next well' find out that germs are really witch engine boogers.
anyone else see this as sort of a paradise lost type story (karn of course is satan bound in the lowest layer of "hell", for phyrexia is hell if i ever saw it!).

so i think the fact that Karn being spoken about as "the savior" in english (i'm assuming the Mirrans) and in the Phyrexian language he was referred to as "the destroyer" should be noted
I think that while there's a possibility he could be destroying for the Phyrexians they most likely are referring him to as their destroyer.
I think this pretty clearly shows Karn working with the Mirrans

Kind of underwhelmed by Elesh Norn. The +2 and -2 abilities are insane, the only problem is that she costs 7. If she had cost 4 or 5, she would've at least been playable. The -2 ability really screws aggro decks hardcore. I'm not even sure if I like her in EDH very much. I guess we will have to see.
1) Stuff that costs 8+ sees play in certain formats like EDH where 15 is child's play.
2) If she costed 4 or 5, she would be worse than any Titan or BSA. Costing 4 or 5 she would make Gideon just cry and die inside.
3) Yes it does screw around with aggro. As it is kinda part of white's job.
All the art revealed for either side will be in the set.
The packaging shows both a corrupted and a purified Karn.
The Mirrans call him Saviour and Phyrexia calls him Destroyer (which I assume means destroyer of the weak or something, since they clearly call him the Father of Machines, meaning he still leads them rather than destroying them).
I just don't know what to believe Karn will do anymore.
Seems like she would be one hell of a good general for mono white. That is a huge swing in board position. She makes your 1/1s and your opponents 5/5s equals for 7 mana and a good body thats a nice swing.
Or pair her with Humility and now they don't have any creatures while you have an army of Elephants.
There's still room for a Mirran win here, I think. If it was called "Mirrodin Pure" and the Mirrans somehow lost, that would just be poor storytelling by WOTC. Mark Rosewater did say how one of the most crucial parts of all fantasy narrative is stacking the odds against the good guys so they can have their heroic moments and pull out the win.

Praetor Urabrask was notably absent from the proceedings.
Apparently that whole "one drop of oil is enough" nonsense means that whenever WotC is short on original ideas, they will bring back Phyrexia.
So these are the things you should expect in the future releases: Phyrexia invades Kamigawa (metallic Spirits?), Phyrexia invades Lorwyn (metallic Kithkin and Oona becoming the Queen of Machines), Phyrexia invades Zendikar (wow, Phyrexian-Eldrazi hybrids!!! annihilator robots!!!)...
Wow. This is massively undercosted. It's nearly impossible to kill with direct damage, which becomes a lot harder to do once she's on the field. 7 mana for a 4/7 Vigilance would probably be at least uncommon normally, and that effect is just so, so flavorful. I'm glad she doesn't have infect, and that art is beautiful, honestly. I want a foil copy. No, I want a foil POSTER of her. Delicious flavor, great design (not something we see all the time), and awesome art. I mean, yeah, she's overpowered, but 5 mana in a deck that's heavy on white isn't going to be the most reachable anyway.
Wait, never mind, she's not OP or undercosted at all. In fact, she's not super playable (DON'T KNOCK ME, JUST WAIT) because she's in a color that, if it were aggro based, would normally curve out at like, 4 mana. In a color deck, she's a solid finisher....except that her buffs won't help anything. They'll still hurt aggro though, so she has definite potential as a finisher in something like W/X control, but 4 really isn't the fastest clock right now. We'll see. Right now, she doesn't fit into anything. But we've only seen one card, so I digress.
Unplayable mythic and very disappointing abilities. PLEASE, make Sheoldred hardcore I want MBC to be tier 1
Since it's a cycle of Legendary Creature - Praetor, my bet is they will all cost 7. They are catering to EDH / Commander after all which comes out very soon with their latest product along with FTV: Legends.
1) Does this mean we'll have to come back to Mirrodin again? Hope not. Third time would be beating a dead horse.
2) I really hope the rest of the cycle is better. A cycle of 5 overcosted fatties in a small set isn't going to move boosters.
3) aaand just when we thought the guessing game was over they throw the Karn riddle at us. *sigh. Wonder how long they'll hold out on this one for.

Calling it now, they'll all be almost the same except the first ability will be different to match the colour... Such as Sheoldred having fear instead of vigilance.

I, for one saw this coming a while ago. The mirrodin pure packaging looked sick though
I don't thing anyone really thought it was going to be Mirroden Pure. The build up was heavily leaning towards New Phyrexia.
I love the videos WotC has done for these.
Question, is it me, or does the "English" speaking voice sound like Judicator Aldaris from Star Craft?

It is safe to accept your New Phyrexia.

MTGO: flathead

This card would be broken at 5 or less mana even if you make her like a 2/2 to compensate.
The effect is VERRRY powerful in a creature battle.
Feel free to bid on my cards here!
