If Infect had 2 blocks worth of cards, it would become so powerful, nothing else would get played.

Unsurprising. I mean, I wasn't expecting a new multi-block storyline with Phyrexians or anything like that so it was a given to me that poison would just appear in this block.
Well question is then, what enemies are we facing? Is Bolas culminating once again? Do we catch up with any of the contless ongoing planeswalker stories? Or are we in for something new? Though unless Scars has a diffinitive conclusion, we'll have a lot of backseat mega-turmoil going on without any real satisfaction of a decently wrapped up block for the last two years... And i kinda want the story to revolve around the cool walker interactions that still have stories to tell. Like Lill and Garruk havn't been seen in a while... I know we'd basically have new versions of like every walker we've had bar a couple, Sorrin, Gideon, Nissa (Bolas is a second character card) Though why is that bad? How common are walkers anyways? Sorry, digresion =]]
Infinite planes means infinite planeswalkers, and actually infinite number of the same planeswalkers. So long as there are infinite planes...

There is a finite amount of life of any sort on an infinite amount of worlds and planes, which means the total life in all of the multiverse = none. Anything finite divided by infinity is as close to nothing as it gets.

Mr. Fu, your leaving of MTGnews' humor forum killed it. KILLLED IT!

The hole in that logic is that an infinite multiverse implies infinite life as well.

I'm thinkin it'll be another bend on "rules" sorta like colored artifacts or the such. My suggestion look to futuresight and the speculation begin!!! (Continue)
Really now, not a surprise at all. Not only was poison not really intended to be a cross-block mechanic (even though I don't hate it as much as some people apparently do), this also doesn't mean that Phyrexia lost. It could just be another little corner of the Multiverse chugging along, oblivious to the Eldrazi tearing up Zendikar or the Phyrexians mopping up on Mirrodin. Also, Phyrexians got along fine before infect/poison counters, so we could still see some of them in their pre-Mirrodin mentalities.
Either way, I do wonder how soon we'll get to see Phyrexians/Eldrazi again. They've got to pop up at some point, no world can hold them for long.
But Phyrexians are nothing without their infect identity these days. Not only that but wouldn't they want to keep their Infect since they'll be trying to branch out beyond Mirrodin? Why drop their most powerful weapon so soon after just one world? It would go against their deranged 'supremacy' issues.
Correction: Star Wars taught us that George Lucas is a horrible, horrible person. And that WotC doesn't like doing licensed products for something they/Hasbro doesn't explicitly own.
not surprising.
what do you think?
