hey i don't know if this has been posted yet, did a quick search, didn't see it, i was surfing craving for a games site http://www.cravingforagame.ca and saw that they already advertised rote booster boxes with this blurb:
In their quest to uncover ancient treasures, Planeswalkers have awakened the Eldrazi - parasite titans of the aether, imprisoned on Zendikar for thousands of years. Seemingly unstoppable, these world eaters threaten all of the Multiverse and their very presence has changed everything you know about Zendikar. To survive, you'll have to be at the very top of your game. Rise of the Eldrazi is set 3 of of 3 in the Zendikar Block.
i google searched it and it came up with 5 or so other sites using that blurb
peace
p.s. parasitic world eaters? sounds like a whole race of galactus

i wonder if they'll all be like darksteel? huge cost, huge p/t and then some really good ability, obv. they wont be easy to play, and they're likely to all be legendary artifact creatures

That would be great to have them eat stuff. I can create a deck called "Nom Nom Nom." I like the description (really flavorful), and can't wait. There's a lot of mystery about this set. We'll find out soon enough.

The rumored annihilate mechanic would fit the description of "world eaters" (when this creature attacks, defending players sacrifices X permanents)...
All i know is that world wake was a very "meh" set.
I must admit, I grow weary of such inane comments.
MTG is designed for four purposes: tournaments, limited, casual and collectors.
Worldwake might be underwhelming as far as constructed is concerned (but even this is debatable) but it definitely has a very strong effect on limited - lots of bombs and tons of support. Moreover, WWK is a wonderful casual set - no one who plays casual would deny this. EDH is very happy, tribal is very happy, theme decks are happy, etc.
Frankly, I've loved Shards and Zen thus far. So many great casual rare cards that people disregard and end up being worth 12 cents that are fantastic for casual gaming. I've never been able to purchase so many fun cards for so cheap. Let the good times roll!

That's gonna be VERY swingy. I sure hope development and playtesting have worked overtime on this one, if that's what it is going to be. Part of what makes MTG better than other games is that it's possible to "rubberband" yourself back into a game through skillful timing and play. The achilles heel of old games like SWCCG, STCCG, Battletech, and especially POKEMON was that a player who began pulling ahead would keep finding it easier and easier to stay ahead.
Wow, the entire multiverse is at risk of being destroyed..... again. That hasn't happened since Mirrodin! Or was it Planar Chaos. Or Shards.
"Whatcha doin?"
"I'm saving the multiverse."
"You mean the universe?"
"No, the multiverse. It's all the possible universes put together."
"By playing Magic?!?"

Not to nitpick, but realisitcally we have had very little in actual threats to the multiverse as a whole.
Phyrexia: Biggest one yet but they got all obsessed over Dominaria and Urza. Otaria: Karona was a whackjob. Mirrodin: Memnarch was mad and wanted Mirrodin to be "perfect." No connection outside the plane itself. Kamigawa: Spirit war never had any outiside implications. Ravnica: Szadek was only concerned with undermining the guild system. Time Spiral: Well it caused all the major plot points of Mirrodin to Ravnica and did alter the Spark. Close enough. Lorwyn/Shadowmoor: If this sad excuse for a plot could affect the rest of the Multiverse I would cry. Shards of Alara: Bolas was a threat, but so far has proven not a very big one in terms of the Multiverse as a whole. After all, big bad uber powerful dragon got beat by a pissed off little kitty. Zendikar/Rise of the Eldrarzi: Look at us, we live in a world where the very land itself hates our everloving guts, but it's worth it cuz there's tons of treas- SWEET GOOLY MOOGLY WE AWLL GUNNA DIE!!! ... .. . er...um at least it seems that way...
hmmm, I hope "To survive, you'll have to be at the very top of your game" doesn't imply that the cards are going to be so broken that you can't play the game if you don't get them.

so hedrons may contain huge eldrazi titans that destroy everything? picture the following:

If Wizards do mix RoE with the new set that's gonna take place in Dominaria, it'll be of epic of proportions. Phyrexians + Eldrazi =

Yes, so far the composite analysis of Maro's hint has been holding up very well.

If your answer is "Yes," then please, please reconsider.

Not sure about that. I think you'll have to wait a bit longer for those, Eldrazi are probably colorless, but not artifacts.
