Well, I can't comment on the "th" portion, but Fertilid and Lucent Lumenid both end in the "id" portion. (granted this would be the third card to follow this pattern and that doesn't prove much as both vebulid and Ichorid are the two existing horrors with the same pattern. To date there are no insects with "id" at the end of their name.
At any rate, I can't imagine a card of this type with this sort of mechanic that is anything other than a horror... Though I have seen it listed as both a horror and as a elemental, so I guess we will have to wait and see what it turns out to be.

yeah but if youre in topdeck mode, youll probably have enough mana for a better finisher, or a draw spell to dig into removal, or atleast a small dude to chump till you find something better.

I wouldnt compare creatures that cost 3-4 mana with other creatures that cost 6 or spells for 7 mana. Also i wouldnt compare early beaters with finishers. Of course a finisher would be better in top deck mode, isnt it obvious? I dont see your point.

When I use Nyx, people usually get him before he gets big. In one case where i was fighting 5cc, the guy literally drew my Nyx to death. (DARN MULLDRIFTERS/ESPER CHARMS!!) Its a solid mid-late game creature in a disc deck, and early game if you can get it to work like Fodder did.
It's understandable blue control players would be shocked and in denial at the notion of this card, since their decks have been dominating multiple formats for an eternity yet they've curiously never once had to deal with any counter-hosers that weren't ineffectual, narrow CRAP.
Ur oponent always start with 6 cards? And anyway that what u say i can say for any of existing casual decks.

Turn 1 i'm start: Underground/Secluded land , Thoughtseize - i'm discard ur Thoughtseiz.
Turn 2 ur: Land Drop ... dont care what u do but u can topdeck another Thoughtseize anyway i can have Speltutor/Negate/Removesoul/Brokenabmition, so anyway i'm dontcare what u discard from my hand.
Turn 3 i'm: second land i'm KING. u almost loose bb :D\

Actually I meant it as an amusing empathetic statement. I've been there, in other words.
Though I agree with you, banking on a good hand or hypothetically listing a series of goldfish plays shouldn't be expected to help your or your opponents' arguments. The only way to actually see if there's a good deck for Nyaxthid(which I believe there is) is experimentation. Playtesting against the best decks, not Exalted/Devour decks. Playing the "wait and see what the pros do" game is usually best when it comes to new cards.

Also Scepter of Fugue could also work here.
This thing is just what Blighting decks needed. This thing dropped after a resolved Blighting wreaks havoc. Just think.. Blighting drops on turn 3 and if you were on the draw that puts your opponent on to a turn 4 6/6 creature at best. Blighting will final have the power it needs.

With Blightning, Thoughtseize, and Raven's Crime, you can keep this guy at an easy 5/5 or 6/6. Just gotta keep the critters off their end of the board to ensure no harm comes to you.

I've been testing Nyxathid as a proxy in my suicide black deck and he has been nothing short of amazing. The lowest he has ever been has was a 5/5.
I was going to ask a legacy player's opinion of this, because I saw it and immediately thought of Hymn, ritual, and hippie. ritual for specter, next turn, tourach, attack, next turn, attack and nyxathid. by that time he may even be a 7/7.

Why? I don't understand your logic/reasoning. Innocent blood is used in the early rounds to keep crud off the field, and is used to kill massive otherwise impossible to kill creatures (Mystic Enforcer is a pain in the ass to monoblack if you dont run smallpox/innocent blood/edicts)

There comes a time in every young Planeswalker's life that he realizes he has not been reading the card as well as he should. This is your time.
