Here I am, a simple Zesty worshipping n00b, the lowest order in the ZestyClan. And I am here with grave news. I was gathering some magic with a friend the other day, and was absoloutly wowed by this froglike thing jumped out from the bushes at us my magic gathering friend had never seen anything like it (it wasn't from around here)! I wasn't really worried cause he wasn't big, but he held this bizare weapon. Didn't look like the weapon was too heavy. Anyways this thing charged at my buddy saying this:
What was this thing saying! All i know is that my buddy didn't fair so well for it. If you have no idea where to start searching for this bizzare creature i can tell you that this particular one was wearing a funny colored hat. It wasn't a color that you would normally find around these parts, (then again neither was the creature), the color reminded me of little girls. and it was one of those wierd hats that canadians wear about a third of the year.
Perhaps if we had some insight into what this creature said it would help my friend.
(Note, theres an intentional lack of clues in the english words here, search for the funny colored hat and you will find the answer)
First, I realized that it looked like something with a colorless-only mana cost and a subtype. This is most likely an Artifact - Equipment. Since the words in the relevant line are exactly twice as long as "artifact" and "equipment", I assumed that two letters in the text represented one real letter.
Next, I replaced those letters with "Artifact - Equipment". That gave me.
Q U I E T U wr wr P I ru E 3
A R T I F A C T - E Q U I P M E N T

E Q U I P C uu wr T I wr 3
I see fragments of words, so I know I'm on the right track. The last line is obviously "Equip cost is 3", so I do those substitutions, which yields
Q U I E T U S S P I ru E 3
A R T I F A C T - E Q U I P M E N T

Third line obviously starts with "Equiped creature has", so I fill in these letters, leaving me with
Q U I E T U S S P I ru E 3
A R T I F A C T - E Q U I P M E N T

Filling "deals combat damage" gives me

And the last two substitutions are obvious.

Well costly but the effect really gives "a damned if you do damned if you do not" situation. Pretty bomby in limited where you can make any token a lethal engine of death. Probably still too price for outside casual constructed/multiplayer but really fun there,
It'll be played in constructed as well. Loxodon Warhammer finds its way in there, with the same cost in it. They both pose similarly leveled threats.

I'm thinking that one doesn't have equip. Rather it is something like.

Remove a charge counter from Sigil of Distinction: Attach ~ to target creature you control. Instant speed is fun!

Well this card takes are of one instance of everything. There could be spells like "destroy target equipment" and "removed target equipped creature from the game."

wow, youre propably right, and that makes this card much more awesome!!!
Nice puzzle, but even more puzzling is the lone instance of "equip" in the orb. I also thought it could be worded as "attach" but orb gives =0 for "attach".
EDIT: Tried "equipping" (as in some sort of "comes into play equipping a creature" but that gave 0. Then thought it could come into play "equipped" and the you could "move" it to another creature, but move = 0 too
I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.

When equipped creature deals Combat damage to an opponent, they lose half their life, rounded up.

My Google-fu is much greater than yours

This on a stillmoon cavalier or a troll ascetic is a very lethal combo indeed.
and we already have that X charge counters equipment
Well that was short lived.
I thought is was a neat card design too, but who knows how powerful it would be outside of standard/limited.
I hope this is a fake. This plus the the exalted theme of letting one huge guy go with tons of evasion or trample makes this card unfun.

Nicely done! Glad that at least the first guy had no clue where to even begin. Means i did my job reasonably OK.

I'm still confused on how the hat sloved it, lol. I'm assuming I was right in thinking you were talking about a tuque?
So yeah while that version would make some sense and be reasonable its like making a creature without a power at all.
