So I have gone back and forth on Yawgmoth's Will for a while now in my Thraximundar deck. Some people scream and shout how good it is but when I got it in hand rarely would I have more than one to two cards I could execute again off of it. I feel like I would be better off just drawing some more cards than relying on a card that requires my graveyard to stick and have lots of mana to try to squeeze as much out of it as possible. Plus there is the problem that I run a lot of high end spells that often cost 6-10 mana to cost and the chance of getting much milage out of this seems very small for me.
So far the best I have come up with is tutoring for yawgmoth after using a fact or fiction or something along those lines. The card advantage would be great to get a second tutor and a second fact or fiction off.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
It's usually not as powerful as it is in other formats, but you can still usually get a Restock out of it, especially with Coffers and other mana doublers.
It all depends on what you have in your graveyard and how prevalent GY hate is in your meta. I have never found it to be terribly useful, but if you prepare for it with Dark ritual, cabal ritual, Songs of the Damned, Spoils of Evil and a few tutors, you should be sitting pretty after it all resolves.
The ideal time to Yawg-Will in Commander is late game when your GY is fat. I have done the following:
Y's Will all my mana artifacts back into play + reuse sorceries
Y's Will 3 Time Warps for a super-duper time stretch
At WORST it should be a black recollect at best it should end the game or make the game virtually impossible to lose. Normally it should hit you off with +2-4 in terms of card advantage, depending on deck.

"I think EDH would be more fun for the majority of participants if players just showed eachother their decks rather than actually playing games out."
Its really only as broken as your deck is, its so broken in vintage because you can rebuy Black Lotus, Recall, other filtering effects to gain a huge advantage. So if your deck isn't really broken then Yawg win isn't going to be broken.

On Mono Black in Commander:
Quote from BlackJack68 »
But whomever your commander is, Cabal Coffers is really in charge.
I have cast Will in order to play a Sol Ring and a Cultivate before, and it won me the game.
If there are any cards in your yard that do anything, this card is worth having.

It's not as crazy good as it's reputation, but it is an extremely useful spell and has saved me or put away the win on many occasions. How good it is completely depends on what else is in your deck.
I view it as a must in my Geth deck, as it's one of the few ways I can replay a dead Cabal Coffers.
I like it as way to recur vital stuff in my deck and It's a bonus I have won games with it but I mostly play big mana black decks that build insane amounts of mana so it's easier for me to utilize Yawgmoth's will . I have won games by casting Exsanguinate with a ton of mana out then finishing the rest of the table off the next turn by yawgmothing the same exsanguinate.
"Strip Mine from the graveyard, I'll destroy your Maze of Ith with it, attack you with my Thrax, use that Stifle from beyond the grave to counter Mystifying Maze's ability, counter that removal spell with this graverobbed Dissipate, and clear those remaining blockers with this handy Capsize Yawgmoth was nice enough to fetch me. Lethal damage from Thrax? Splendid!"

From the mind of Raymond Swanland: Valla, a plane made entirely out of brownish spikes.
My most recent Yawg Will went something like this:
Crack Lotus Petal to play Dark Ritual, Yawg Win off that. Land for turn from yard replays Ritual, which replays Demonic Tutor for something dumb. Replay Petal to play Sol Ring to replay Sensei's Divining Top and spin it. And whole interaction only costs 1 land, so I probably did something else.
Like someone else said, you kind of have to build around it, but if you do it can get you some really sick plays. Spend a couple turns crafting your yard for an optimal Yawg Win, don't just play it all willy-nilly.
So I have gone back and forth on Yawgmoth's Will for a while now in my Thraximundar deck.

Yawgmoth's Will is like a big set of knockers.
It isn't going to make a fat cow become suddenly attractive.
But if the girl is already hot, then a big set of knockers makes her even better.
Maybe the problem is your 6-10 mana spells make a giant, fat, ugly cow.

Suddenly, Fluffy realized she wasn't quite like the other bunnies anymore.
Let's say I've never lost a game that I resolved a Yawg's Win. Ever. With the ability to make 16+ mana off a coffers, Yawg's Win is GG whenever it resolves. Get back that Sol Ring, D tutor, Mana Crypt, Vault, Wayfarer's Bauble, the list goes on and on and on. Since I play super aggro I also can get back a dark ritual if it's in the yard! Sometimes I simply cast to get a coffers + a tutor but it's enough to win.
Build your deck well and Yawg's Win lives up to it's name.

I've seen a lot of decks that are not well-suited for YawgWin, but there's a huge gap between the typical constructed deck, where playsets of Dark Rituals and Cabal Rituals run free. In EDH, the long-term card advantage is far superior to a turn of faster mana. IMHO, it isn't the instawin it can be in Vintage, but the flexibility it offers in recursion often makes it an autoinclude for me. If nothing else, it's a "hold until low on gas", then take a turn dedicated to abusing the Will IE land drop from the yard, recur a tutor or (very common for me as well) Bone Shredder, and maybe another oddball permanent from the yard. Just saying, you won't find a ton of artifact/enchantment/planeswalker recursion in black, and this one is well known and quite potent.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

It's not as good in multicolor decks due to stretching mana color requirements. Mono-black can also Yawg-Will, play the Cabal Coffers out of their graveyard (cause it obviously got wastelanded earlier), generate 10-15 mana, play a few cards out of their graveyard, including some tutors (including the one you used to get Yawg Will). It also is really good when you have Jet Medallion out, as that saves 1 mana from each card cast. Can easily be worth 10 virtual mana by the time you're done playing with your graveyard.
Just don't be like one of my friends and play Entomb off of it
It can be huge, but in a GY hate heavy meta, it can be a not so great. The question is if you have 1 slot in a green/black do you run Yawg's will or Predator's Council?
I'm trying it out Sharuum as a way to rebuy Planeswalkers, since BUW has so few ways to get them back when they die. I haven't played it yet, so I don't know how good it is, but even if all I get out of it is a Tezzeret or Venser, I'll be happy.
So far the best I have come up with is tutoring for yawgmoth after using a fact or fiction or something along those lines. The card advantage would be great to get a second tutor and a second fact or fiction off.
