Not that 10 mana acards would be playable in cube, but basically saying "Put your library into play" is something that can end in a lot of flipped kitchen tables.
Yeah, from both sides in fact. I spend 10 mana to put my library in play, flip one card and it happens to be one of two non-permanent cards included in my deck just so I won't deck myself, so I get nothing . . . and flip the table instead.
Sorry if this was already discussed but I ran a search for it and didn't find anything.
What are people's thoughts on Terminus? How do you think it compares to some of the other more expensive wrath effects? Better than Martial Coup, Rout, or Akroma's Vengeance?
Nope. Coup is a win con and a sweeper. Vengeance kills more stuff. Rout is instant.
Terminus is like that Hallowed Burial but costs more. Amazing topdeck. But if you want to be topdecking a wrath then you're probably lost the game, no?
Another EDH card, I think. You should probably run Hallowed Burial before you run Terminus. The one mana discount will matter a lot more than the miracle cost.
I almost called the new red burn spell cubeable until I noticed it was a sorcery (R, deal 2 damage to any target, exile if dies). There aren't many useful targets - most cubes only run four creatures where the exile clause is relevant (Gravecrawler, Bloodghast, Strangleroot Geist and Squee, Goblin Nabob).
And unless you find yourself in the unlikely position of combining it with one or two other burn spells to take out a Wurmcoil Engine or a Genesis, it will almost always be a worse Shock.
Terminus's Miracle cost wont matter - yes there are some fantasy scenarios where you topdeck this and wipe all creatures with perfect timing, but I think Hallowed Burial is the same.
The dragon is ok but very unexciting for me, though I can imagine this to be a frustrating creature to play against if you lack removal. Its the exasion that makes it great of course.
How does anyone feel about Cavern of souls? It can be a colorless dud sometimes but in certain aggero decks (knights, soldiers, goblins, zombies) or in some control decks (play only as you would play your bomb) I think this can matter.

I'm guessing it'll only works in Tribal cube. But I never play Tribal cube before, so I wouldn't know.
The creature type tends to be fix with the type mostly anyways. Although a knight would be a (rare) exception that I don't think is worth it. Another one might be the Titans. But the Titan required 2 color, and they aren't splashable. I just don't think it'll works.

I agree, at instant speed it may have been cubeable for midsized and larger cubes. As a sorcery, I don't see it making the cut anywhere.

Interesting that Terminus is being dismissed by everyone. I strongly dislike the miracle mechanic, but I think this is the best one spoiled so far.
I rate it at about the same level as Rout and Hallowed Burial, maybe it's even better than those 2. For context, we currently run Hallowed Burial over Rout because in our cube the pseudo-exiling is useful more often than the instant speed at CMC7. I rate both of those above the more expensive Akroma's Vengeance and Martial Coup, but below Wrath of God, Day of Judgment and Catastrophe.
Terminus is the most reasonably costed miracle so far. Comparing with Hallowed Burial, it only costs 1 more to hard-cast, but is much cheaper as a miracle, which allows for playing something else the same turn or holding back counter mana. I'm not sure, having no play experience with miracles, but it's possible that the super low miracle cost is a bigger advantage than the higher casting cost is a drawback. In any case, Terminus seems to me much more playable than any other miracle spoiled so far, followed by Bonfire of the Damned which seems castable by the decks that want such an effect and is game-winning as a miracle.
I am most likely not adding Terminus. We ended up cutting the 6 mana wraths, because they often just came down too late. The problem with some of the Miracle cards is that the cost reduction only matters if you actually want to cast the spell this turn. It might turn out to be better than the other 6+ mana options, but for now I would not put it over the 4-5 mana wraths.
So what are the opinions on these wrath effects: Terminus vs. Rout vs. Akroma's Vengeance? I actually think I like Terminus the best, but it's really hard to get a feel for how miracles will play.

This is shaping up to be a weak set for cube. I've seen a few decent cards, a few borderline test cases, and that's it. It's fine, I can't expect every set to be amazing for our unique format, but it does mean I won't be drafting this anywhere near as much as that treasure-trove of cubable cards, Dark Ascension.
Miracle is yet another of those mechanics that I don't like at all. And it seems like it does not matter much, because there is no miracle card I want to include anyway.
Soulbond is OK I guess once you get what it does, but the wording is quite awkward.

(2 damage matters in my cube. Nothing to see here. Move along.)
