At my last prerelease I saw a group of people drafting (pre-tourny) and I was like whoa, they made their own boosters full of old foil cards amd theyre drafting. Haha.
A cube is like sunshine and happiness condensed into one box....
On a more serious note, it's basically a "make your own draft set". I don't like the video posted, it's not about cubes, it's about a type of cube.
A cube is literally your own draft set... It can be broken, it can be balanced, it could be themed, it could be all common, all rare, all anything. There are cubes that only include cards printed from 1994 and before. There are cubes with only the modern frame. There are even cubes with only terrible cards. You name it, people cube it.
In short, if you ever said to yourself "I wonder what would happen if there was a draft with cards X Y Z" in it, or "If there was a draft with ____ in it" cube is for you.

And this is going into my signature.
But seriously, cube is a really flexible, fun and overall cheap format. Because you control the list and you control what goes in and out you can have all the decisions and all the control. If you ever thought you could make a balanced set or if you ever moaned that a certain limited format was crap, cube designing is for you!

Cheap and yet potentially the most expensive format ever.
I play on a kitchen table or in pre-release events.
I was wondering, what the heck is a cube?!
It is awesome, I have been cubing for a little over four years now.

360 Uncommons only Cube!
This is true. Even with Pauper and Peasant cubes it can still get ridiculous.
