i'm looking for a deck i can run against my friends ( they got 200$ deck )
problem is, i only have 50$ to invest in this
i did my homework and found that
Xland stompy
red burn
red goblin
White weenie
Black gate
affinity
are all decent option to start with
i really like how affinity works, but all decks seams to have a playset of Arcbound Ravager that runs 50$+
the decks need to be slighly competitive ( against my friend decks ) and i would like to start doing some casual tournament at my local store
every list i end up making doest seems really good im not that great at deck building
about me :
my favorite colors are :symw::symg:>:symu:>>>:symr:>>>:symb:
i do enjoy blue and i dont mind a splash of red
i dont enjoy playing red burn decks

I ran this deck through the deckbuilder at Coolstuffinc and it came out to about 100$, AKA Affinity without Ravager, Mox Opals, Tezzeret or Stoneforge Mystic.
You might be able to find it for cheaper at another site. With Affinity, you need to be prepared to fight hate like Null Rod, Serenity and Energy Flux, so be prepared.
In the developing form, there's some cheap decks too, like the Cascabalance deck, some of which are competitive.
4 Darksteel Citadel
4 Vault of Whispers
4 Seat of the Synod
4 Tree of Tales
4 Master of Etherium
4 Ornithopter
4 Memnite
4 Steel Overseer
4 Signal Pest
4 Etched Champion
2 Vault Skirge
You do not need ravager for affinity, however running the deck without some number of mox opals is an awful idea and thoes will hit your budget. The vast majority of the cards int he deck are commons you can probably get for free, but Opal is completely not replaceable.
Likewise I would be hard pressed to say you shouldnt have some number of tezzeret 2 in the deck.
I have to respectfully disagree, proto. Vial affinity for years didn't need mox opal, tezz 2.0, etc. It's pretty good without both of those. That said, they do make it better, but budget versions could run fine without them. ON the other hand, take a look at the budget sacland tendrils thread further down. It would be black/red/blue, but it should be competitive against many decks in that price range.
Sure, you can play Affinity without Arcbound Ravager. Atog makes a reasonable substitute for him, performs relatively the same function, and even the original Antiquities version only costs $0.25 each or so.
As far as alternatives to Mox Opal go the best options I could come up with are Lotus Petal, Mana Cylix, and Prophetic Prism. The Lotus Petals are the only really fast ones, but they all serve the same purpose of fixing your mana at relatively low costs and upping your artifact count for Affinity. If you just want to power out Affinity guys as fast as possible than I'd try Lotus Petal, but if you don't mind making your deck a turn or two slower than I like Prophetic Prism since it cantrips itself. I enjoy using both the Prism and Atog in my Pauper format Affinity deck
it does help !! how would such a deck be built
my budget is pretty much 50$
and i found that affinity does a good job at gething the job done ( on that budget )
the deck needs to be ( competitive for tournament at casual local stores )
thats the real chalenge
and im really not a fan of burn decks

4 memnite
4 ornithopter
4 signal pest
4 steel overseer
4 vault skirge
4 glaze fiend
4 etched champion
4 master of etherium
4 springleaf drum
4 cranial plating
lands: 20
4 seat of the synod
4 vault of whispers
4 darksteel citadel
4 underground river
4 watery grave
Ideally underground river would be glimmervoids and watery grave would be mox opals. It's been doing fine as it is!
