Gideon is good, definitely, but I don't feel is the right punch for this deck...
If animated it is likely to be the target of opponents' removal, since we do not land other creatures.
I found Jace, the memory adept an incredibly good addiction to the deck and a reliable win-con. It dodges removals and it kills in 4-5 turns if unchecked.
I feel the milling plan might be the way to go as an alternative wincon to the angels.
what do you think?
gideon is very important in this deck brcause he does so much. keeps attakers from your life points. destroys tapped creatures, and attack when coast is clear. he is a must in this deck
Anyone else having troubles against UG Infect? Seeing them pop all over the meta around here ever since #1 World Qualifier in France boasted one. They're so ridiculously fast lol. I almost have to have a O. Ring or Ratchet Bomb ready, else I need to Ponder into a Terminus (or pull a Terminus normally) before turn 3 else I'm dead.
Which I'm finding is incredibly difficult in a best out of 3 match up.

yep, frigging T3 kill. UG or mono G.
I went 0-6 on playtest yesterday
I need to miracle Terminus Turn 2/3 or FoD on Turn 2. Otherwise, Turn 3 comes, Blighted Agent or Glistener elf, + Titanic Growth + 2-3 Mutagenic Growth
You can't rely on T4 DoJ in most of my cases. I really had to stop them at Turn 3 or 4.
The worst part...it's 1 Creature that's doing all the Poison Damage. (Either Glistener Elf or Blighted Agent).
Now I'm playing U/W so I don't have access to direct removal at turn 2 like Esper does (if you have Doom Blade/Gftt)
I think I find a very nice tuning for the deck...
I am 7-1 in testing (3-1 in a daily event, 4-0 in random testing in the tournament practice room).
I will post a deck as soon as I feel super-confident with the 75
Can you post your list anyway? The practice room shouldn't really count for practice its only good for getting a feel for your deck. The 3-1 DE is good data, what deck did you lose to?
There are surprisingly few miracle decks in the 3-1, 4-0 DE reports. Either people aren't playing them or they aren't placing. I'm still debating whether to put the deck together or not, it does sound fun.
Hmmm, again new control player here. I'm having trouble playing think twice in early-mid game. It is a 2cmc spell and if I use it at EoT I'm left with 1-2 mana at most (before turns 5 or 6). It's like I'm saving the Think Twice for late game so I can miracle an entreat on EoT.
So it ends up as a dead card till I can be sure that I have enough mana to miracle or something. Which is bad I think
It's like I'm scared to cast it because I want to draw a miracle but have enough mana to cast the miracle (especially entreat).
I think that Think Twice has no room whatsoever in this deck.
If you want to cast a miracle in an opponent turn you need to have Thought Scour. There is a lot of difference between tapping 1 or 2-3 mana.
I personally have cut also also TS, to do something in turn 3 and 4, which were big holes in my previous setting
Thanks for the advice. Do you still have 4 Ponder?

Side 4 Gut Shots. It is also your answer to Thalia.
Against G/u infect, has anyone thought about Sb spellskite? Spellskite is a good blocker in general and can swallow up all of their pump spells. Negate should help this match as well as you can counter the defiance.
I'm bad at making sideboards >_<
Results: (as much as I can remember)
Round 1: Mono Green Infect 0-2
G1: Turn 3-4, Pumped Glistener Elf For the win
G2: Turn 4, Inkmoth Pumped with Titanic Growth + Wild Defiance + Mutagenic Growth
Round 2: GRW Frites 0-1 Guy had to leave on personal Emergency
G1: From what I can remember I held back his creatures till I couldn't anymore. No Planeswalkers hit the board to help me.
Round 3: U/W Delver Resto 0-2
G1: I mull to 5 because I have 4 Miracles in my hand. Second Mull no land. T1, Delver, T2 Leaks transforming Delver. My T1-T3 was Land Go.
Resto Turn 4. I Hold till Turn 7 or 8 with FD. Swords come down.
G2: I mull to 6 because I have 5 Miracles in my hand for some reason. I was able to Miracle a Terminus but he snagged his creatures to safety. Same story as G1. Entreat got leaked.
Round 4: Mono Green Infect 0-2
Same as round 1 pretty much, T3/T4 killed me both games. DoJ Too late. I O-ringed one of their SoWaP in Game 2.
Extra round: Mono Green Infect 2-1 (testing/for fun)
G1: Turn 4 Kill pumped Glistener Elf. | 0-1
G2: I was going to lose because I had 9 Counters by his turn 4. He only needed to cast 1 more spell because of Lashwire. Everything went right for me, Miracled Terminus Turn 4, Stonehorn Turn 5, Venser Turn 6, Gideon Turn 7 (while locking with Venser), Tamiyo Turn 8. He top decked a land every turn, buying me time. I O-ringed his Lashwire and he scooped. | 1-1.
G3: He gets some early (2) 1cmc infect creatures but only had 1 land. I held off to turn 5 FD and luck. Stonehorn Turn 4, Tamiyo Turn 5, Tap his only Forest. Gideon Turn 6. | 2-1
Sad my only win is during a test
I found that most of the time I have 1 each of Miracles (or 2 out of 3) in my opening hand. Frost Titan didn't do much though.
Small turnout - only 14 players, so 4 rounds cut to top 4. I was pleasantly surprised by how this list played out. I had played U/W Miracles at FNM going 2-2 and wanted to make some changes to try to improve the way it was playing.
Don't have too much to report since I have waited a week to write about this, but:
R1 Esper Control - 2-0 (1-0)
G1 - lasted 45 minutes - discarded a bunch of flashback spells to an early Liliana, I was able to entreat for 2 angels and keep 1 alive to prevent Liliana from her ultimate. He killed the 2nd one and I Entreated for 2 again - I eventually landed Tamiyo, wiped the board with a Terminus when I was about to die and won off a Tamiyo ultimate.
G2 went to time - I miracled an Entreat for 3 on turn 5 while he was tapped out (after countering a T3 Liliana, T4 Sorin?) He scooped them up having no answer when it was clear we couldn't finished/I would win in turns.
R2 - W/B Tokens - 2-1 (2-0)
G1- got a little lucky with an Entreat into Temporal Mastery for the win right when he would have killed me.
G2 - he got off to a very fast start, landing a T4 Sorin and won from there, I just couldn't deal with several flashbacked Lingering Souls after wiping the board with Terminus twice
G3- Put the Devastation Tides to good use (always have several token players at my LGS, so that's why the card is in my SB). Miracling both copies in the first 5 or 6 turns to clear the board and buy some time, won off a miracled Entreat on T 8 or 9.
R3 - Kessig Naya Wolf Run (slightly different build, the guy runs a copy of Slayers' Stronghold, which really makes things tricky, but we had playtested a bunch earlier in the week) - 2-0 (3-0)
G1 - T2, T3 Temporal Mastery to ramp past the ramp player Entreated from my hand, lost them all to Main deck Day of Judgment, Held back an Inkmoth Nexus with Tamiyo until I found another.
G2 - used Feeling of Dread & Tamiyo to ultimate Tamiyo - Ghost Quarter became strip mine, eventually won with an Entreat
Drew into the top 4 against Delver
R5 - Kessig Wolf Run 2-0 (5-0)
Nothing really to say here, she had a bad draw in both games, didn't really ramp and was able to hold off a single titan in both games with my Tamiyo to win.
Split with the Delver player
Thunderous Wrath was a wasted spot should be either another Bonfire or a burn spell. I thought it could be good late game, but it doesn't kill anything I want to kill (Titan's) and would rather have a Pillar or Incinerate that I could potentially recur off Tamiyos ultimate as an alternate win condition - also the Bonfire often wiped the board early and I wish their was a second for the late game.
Mana leak & potentially Dissipate should be Negate - I had not used them lately and forgot they were currently legal. I think that Mana leak is pretty useless post board. I just want counters to force my spells through against other counters.
Comment/suggestions on my list? I am planning to run this at SCG: Worcester this weekend (after playtesting a bunch more games against Delver).
^ I have a few questions twbird18:
1.) Were you able to Miracle on Opp's EoT or did you Miracle all on your turn.
2.) Did Banishing Stroke help at all?
3.) What do you do if your opening hand has a few Miracles in it? (for example, if you got your singleton Bonfire in Opening Hand)
4.) Is Bonfire really worth Splashing red for?
5.) I made a last minute decision to cut Karn this week, did he see play for you?
1 - Miracled several times on my opponents turn, a couple times into Temporal or Terminus to clear the board, once for an Entreat for 4 angels on the end step which was pretty awesome! - I wish I could figure out how to add more flashback spells, but the list is kind of tight because they are great for discarding to Lighthouse and getting a miracle on your opps turn - not as good if you happen to flip Entreat, but great for Terminus and Temporal Mastery.
2 - used banishing as sort of a catch all would probably be better as Oblivion ring or something like that
3 - I mulliganed anything with more than 2 miracles - prefer to have at least 2 lands and a cantrip in my opener - nearly always fetched a mountain w/ evolving wilds on T1 (I think I posted my list wrong, there was a singleton mountain in my deck) if I had a U/W land for T2
4 - the splash is really for Lighthouse followed by desperate ravings - the instant speed better card access was worth it - I played thought scour in a straight U/W build at FNM & just could never access my miracles when I wanted them, drawing more cards at Game Day made my games much different - Bonfire is good, but just something I gained access to by adding the red splash
5 - Karn is an all star against some decks. I am never sad to draw him late game, I used it to bounce an oring against the Naya Ramp deck to get back Tamiyo twice - he drew and played both his orings trying to stop Tamiyo. I believe I would have lost G1 if not for Karn
Thanks for the feedback. I find myself lacking mana on Opponent's EoT when using Think Twice. Also How often do you use Desolate Lighthouse at Opp's EoT?
It really depends on the situation - I used it a few times@ EOT and a couple at combat to look for a terminus/Entreat, but like I said I made these changes between FNM & my stores Game Day on Sunday so I did not get a lot of testing in - I plan to test a lot this week against Delvers since I feel that is the deck I will probably need the most testing against - I felt pretty comfortable against different Wolf Run variants & aggro decks, but need more testing against other things.
Not sure if I like it, and am wondering why people aren't playing Vessel Of Endless Rest instead of Pristine. That and I think 4 Day/4 Term is overkill... but my meta has a bunch of Control and I need O-Rings main. Do like the Fettergeist SB tech.
I ran a one of Vault of the Archangel in my builds (and some B duals so I could use it), and it was a wonderful to be able to gain life over Bonfire range... so I get that... but I would think being able to tuck their reanimation targets and Snapcaster fodder would be worth it.
I agree about the one of Seachrome... weird.
Not so fond of the lack of Mastery either. That card saves my butt versus control often.
I saw a 4-color Miracle article in scg. The deck looked very week though (the main 60 at least).
2 Entreat for wincon, no Temporal, 3 Tides, 1 Tamiyo in MB.
Mechanic was to Mulch/Faithless your Miracles then Reclaim or Noxius Revival the miracle
Here's the list I'm running. it took 2nd at scg IQ in columbus. only lost finals due to land major flood. the IQ is on this site http://www.comictown.net/

@Silent - was there anything about your list that you didn't like? Your list is very similar to mine, but running less draw effects. I wish that there were more/better ways to potentially Miracle on my opponents turn simply to make better use of my mana.
One thing I would say Twbird is that playing a Miracle deck like Hayne played his is a little bit of a trap. After my experiences playing at GPMN and afterward, it became clear to me that I was relying more on my experiences from playing Esper Superfriends and doing better thinking "more like a control" player, than trying to figure out the best way to pop a miracle on their turn. Popping one off the draw is just as important, even though it will hog mana early game.
I'm sure in time we'll be looking at this deck more like Hayne played it... but for right now, I would say treat this just as much like a UW Control deck and don't get wrapped up in trying to do more than the deck really can. If you pop a Terminus off a EOT Think Twice, sweet! But honestly, it's something that is rare in our standard builds because we're not packing in 25+ miracles. Most of us only have 7-12, and the math just isn't completely there to be as tricky as Hayne was.
I tried playing multiple builds that ran less than 12-15 miracle spells and I hated them because I felt like I could never draw them when I wanted them. I don't think that I want to play the deck like a control deck (except when I have an early Tamiyo draw).
I converted from a Reaver control list w/ the Venser/Stonehorn combo that I had played since the beginning of the year to miracles-first cutting Reaver and then stonehorn, testing Frost titan & Dungeon Geist w/ Tamiyo/Venser as a lock down and finally cut all of the creatures & Venser before arriving at the list I played at Game day.
I felt much more comfortable with the increased chance of drawing a miracle with my newest version of the deck. I'm currently looking to up Bonfire to x3 & will be testing that on my day off tomorrow. That would keep my count at 15 miracles, cutting the banishing stroke and wrath that I was running.
