MTG Salvation

Since there is really no reason to clutter up this forum with a bunch of threads on the same topic, we'll instead have ONE thread for each archetype. To make that thread easier to find, this thread will list them all, so remember to check this thread before posting a new thread.

When you do post a new thread, please post in this thread with a link to the thread, along with deck name and (preferably) a short description of the deck.

Decks that are listed in this thread get the [Official]-tag, and will not be archived. Threads without the [Official]-tag will be archived without notification after about a week of no new posts. Also, threads with the [Official]-tag that haven't been posted in for some time (at least a couple of months) might lose the tag and get archived.

If the first post of a thread listed here is an outdated primer or no primer at all, and you're interested in maintaining a primer for that thread, I can make that happen! Just contact me via PM or post in this thread.

Natural Justice is actually has two arch types. One mid range (creatures with swords) and control (planeswalkers and token generation). Both are explained in the primer.

Neither could I, so that was why I decided to do this I think we can limit ourselves to just one Werewolf thread and one Zombie thread.

I don't know what's going to be viable archetypes, but since people around here are going to try everything no matter what, might as well make official threads for everything too, I suppose!

If you could update the U/B Control description to include "Draw Go" that would be awesome. We try to make the distinction between this version of control and traditional, more tapout control lists.

I don't think there is enough of a distinction to warrant separate deck threads. Your deck still packs Solemns, Sphinxes, etc; cards you'd expect to see in a normal U/B Control list. It has some differences and tweaks, sure, but I wouldn't call it another archetype entirely. But if someone presents a (seemingly competent) U/B Control list drastically different to the one you have there, I might change opinion.

I don't see one utilizing the new Garruk... If there isnt a thread on it, I'll make a new one... but I want to be sure. Time to start reading...

What about decks that take parts from a couple other deck ideas?

I just posted a deck I am developing using bits from Solar Flare and Smallpox. Solare-Pox is here (http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=359060). Does that constitute a new thread? Sorry if I shouldn't have started the thread, I really like this thread idea and will be using this quite a bit in the future!

Thoughts:

- There should be some sort of sorting. There's no way you include a "competitive" section right now, but perhaps a section at the top for all the lists that have 100+ posts? It'd make them easier to find.

- "Living Essence" should be "Essence of the Wild"

- Is there a Necrotic Ooze Combo list? I don't see one, but I'd expect it to exist . .

Whoa! Grenadier randomly got on here…fine with me. I think that most people are just watching now to see how it does, I just wish the old thread hadn't gone into the archives. I was going to update it, but looks like a mod got there before me and I'm back to square one. Well, thanks for adding it, hope everyone takes some time to look at it!

Sorting the threads somehow sounds like a good idea. Might have several "sections", for example, one for each color (obviously this means multiple links to the same thread, but that shouldn't be a problem), one for control, one for aggro, one for combo, and I guess one for "assumed competitive". Will look into it.

Out of curiosity, is Red-Black Planeswalker Control considered different? Especially if it has no gigantic creatures?
