It's interesting how that has turned around. It was almost always who was going to win the AFC, and then the superbowl. The gap seems to have closed the last few years.

This season for me and the Lions has been far more of a disappointment than the year we went 0-16.
The Lions had the division practically given to them on a silver platter, only to turn around and go to McDonalds.
EDIT:
Question. let's say by some miracle that we finish 8-8, the Bears lose tonight and next week, finish 8-8, wouldn't we win the division and be in the playoffs? Considering we swept them in the regular season? ESPN and the Fox analysts at the game said that we were eliminated.

Bears play the Packers next week. A CHI loss would make GB 8-7-1 and winners of the division
Love it when the Patriots go out and prove people wrong. 12 out of 13 ESPN "Experts" picked the Ravens which does nothing more than prove not to listen to the 4-letter network I know, but combine that with every local Boston expert picking the Ravens...yeah the Patriots made everyone eat crow or in this case Raven yesterday.
So I won the 2013 MtGS Fantasy Football Championship. The steelers are still very much in the playoffs. Christmas is in two days. I have a date tonight. Needless to say, I'm in a very good mood:)
Thanks to everyone who played. A special thanks to thaDeceptikon for running these! Can't wait for that pixel trophy:) CHECK OUT MY BLING, YO! Can't wait for next year's season:)
Thanks ThaDeceptikon for running the leagues this year, once again. They are so much fun and I appreciate all the time you have to put into them. I'm looking forward to next year!

Yeah, I agree. Great league ThaDeceptikon, thanks for running it.
Congrats Digi! Here's looking to next year!
Also, the Chargers could make the playoffs if the conditions are met. I need Baltimore and Miami to lose, and I need the Chargers to beat KC. It could happen.
As always gentlemen, it was my pleasure. Glad everyone enjoyed themselves. Next year should be a bit more interesting (and difficult) as more people want their hands in the cookie jar so to speak. Im looking to potentially add a few new wrinkles so I hope everyone who played this year will do so again next year.
Again, thank you to those who were part of it as I'd just be pressing random buttons if it werent for the gears that made this machine work.

Good news for the Chargers - The Chiefs have nothing to play for, they're locked in to their seed now. Baltimore plays Cincinnati who is still fighting for seeding and a possible first round bye.
The Jets are definitely capable of beating Miami, they seem to 'play up' well. I would say that this is more likely than SD beating KC. KC doesn't have anything to play for as far as playoff standings go, but they are playing for 'team mental state'. They were what, 9-0 and have lost 4 of their last 6? And one of those losses was to San Diego already. They don't want to back into the playoffs on a loss, because most likely that means that they'll just lose their first playoff game. Granted, the most # of playoff games they can possibly hope to win is 1 anyway, but still. I don't think SD has much of a shot next weekend.
It's a weird set of circumstances. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Pittsburgh ends up getting the final seed(they can if Baltimore, Miami, and SD all lose). I suppose that Miami is the most likely team to make it, but not by much over Pittsburgh.
It's completely miserable that an 8-8 team in the AFC is likely going to win a WC spot, while the Cardinals could end up 11-5 and not make the playoffs. And it's easier to get wins in the AFC too. I really feel like playoff seeding needs to be restructured somehow.
After going with a defensive set up of DL/LB/DB, I'm never going back to D/ST, it just feels so lackluster, plus if the players are dedicated enough, it adds interesting trade fodder to the mid-season panic trades. It does however require more effort, and it's definitely not something I would add to a casual league.
PPR is meh, after years of tinkering with it in our "testing things out for the money league" League, we've found that awarding 0.5 is best. 1 point can be far too rewarding for some players, the point is to give the standout receivers/backs good points. PPR doesn't always achieve that end.

As a Bills fan thats the only relevant football action I've seen in a decade and a half
ThaDeceptikon: "Welcome to the 2014 MTGS fantasy football season, where its an all-kicker league this year....."
A guy can only dream
540 Peasant cube- Gold EditionSomething SpicyHA! No. Looking at adding ppr, for example
Oh yea, the year I have vereen its not a ppr league....
but next year when it may be, I probably wont....
Maybe instead of D/ST, IDP?
540 Peasant cube- Gold EditionSomething SpicyHIGHLY unlikely
Mainly as I've mused if an all Defensive league could work.....
