As far as Batista goes. I never was a fan of his but I think he has put on some great matches before and depending on who he gets paired with when he comes back, assuming it's fresh, I could dig his return for a while .
With the shield, I like them all but I really like Dean Ambrose. Just afraid he will get the Daniel Bryan treatment that he has been getting so far because of his size :(. I expect Roman Reigns to be WWE World champion some day though.
Dirtsheet reports suggest that its up to wrestlemania and quite a few appearances afterwards.
Also, WWE is still in talks with Goldberg about a Ryback match. The positive here is that Goldberg is in better shape than he was last time he was around, so at any time he could just show up and wrestle, which is why WWE is willing to play ball.
This, in my opinion was one of the best RAWs in a very long time. The CM Punk match was amazing and told a great story/furthered an interesting storyline (reminds me of the Batista one right before WM21, except these are all young stars). John Cena vs Orton, eww after the 100th time, it's old please let this rivalry be done for good WWE (only downside to the whole three hour show, and that says a lot). I loved the Brock Lesner/Mark Henry segment, it actually made me go O.O and was eager to see how it all played out. Finally the main event, my goodness what a story, definitely one of the most interesting in years, and it actually makes me want to tune in next week to see what happens for a reason other than habit and that hasn't happened in a long long time for me.
I just watched Smackdown from last Friday and all I have to say is:
The Shield will be done for by the end of the month. I expect the Royal Rumble to be the end all of the Shield.
Reigns and Rollins will likely stay as a Tag Team while doing singles competition on the side until Reigns becomes to big to be with Rollins.
Ambrose will remain US Champ for a short while (or lose it at the RR due to Shield interference) and will go on to do singles competition.
Well... that's my predictions at least.
some of the random dirt sheet reports i read said they might put in another person to keep the Shield running as a 3 man stable. they were just kicking around names, nothing was concrete yet.
I would love to see the Shield do what they do best on Brock Lesner. Besides John Cena, who deserves it more than Brock? I know they wont do it but it would great to see before they possibly break up.

Little angel, go away come again some other day the Devil has my ear today I'll never hear a word you say. He promised I would find a little solace and some peace of mind. Whatever. just as long as I don't feel so desperate and ravenous.
So yea, besides the Baltimore crowd being basically a very "meh" crowd, how was that for an ending.
Honestly, while it doesnt heighten any fueds much, it was really great to see [SPOILER] in such great shape. The guy looks years better. I gotta admit that this makes me love the person who helped [SPOILER] even more now, and I was already a fan.
Im using spoiler to not spoil it for people who havent seen it yet.
Not going to lie, I marked out multiple times last night. I was just in shock when the ending rolled around. I was kind of hoping that he'd be a surprise entrant into the Rumble, but that was cool anyway.
Also really cool to see Too Cool show up.
I was looking forward to a Mark Henry/Squaaawk Lesnar feud, but they had to ruin that.
Also Daniel Wyatt! YES! YES! I was a couple weeks behind, so I've been playing catch up. I have to say that the subtle ways that they've built up this Daniel Bryan storyline going all the way back to the Orton title feud was impressive. He's slowly been becoming more aggressive each week until this point where he finally gives up, joins them and becomes what he's been slowly moving towards for the past several months. I really thought it was a stupid throwaway feud for a while but watching a months worth of RAW in a couple of days really lets you see how he's been gradually becoming more and more aggressive. Slowly turning into a Wyatt.

Did Dean Ambrose have a smile on his face after Jake put the snake on his face?

I don't see the point in all the spoilers, its three days past Raw now airing on T.V...
That being said Raw was awesome. That's two weeks in a row they had a solid show from beginning to end and I didn't even mind the Orton promo (until Cena came out and did the same old, let's fight right here right now thing he always does.)
That aside, I think Ambrose did. Hard not to when I'd assume one of his wrestling hero's did something to him that he saw Jake do to many people in days past. I really hope Ambrose and Bray Wyatt picked his brain on the psychology aspect of things. You can see bits of Jake in both of them, or at least I do .
This is from a reddit thread a couple days ago, and explains why Rollins was corpsing
For those of you who are unaware, Dean Ambrose was at one stage in his career an average indie wrestler going pretty much nowhere (his early HWA work, when he looked a bit similar to Curt Hawkins, could have been a missing Major Brother). There is a shoot interview which you can get at Highspots I believe (Best of the Indies) where he speaks about his career up to making his DGUSA debut, but back to my point, as Jon Moxley he had a generic look, nothing was different about him and for awhile he even quit wrestling.
When he decided to come back he wanted to try and stand out, make himself different and he knew his real life story was pretty interesting so he began inserting certain aspects of it into his character, which wound up being the deranged, psychotic loner the Jon Moxley character was.
But the reason he attributes getting so good at speaking was Jake Roberts. Mox watched hours of Jake Roberts promos to learn tone of voice to use, hand gestures, body language, all that stuff, so when Jake Roberts came out at the end - while I'm certain they all knew it was going to happen - you could see his face light up and he was trying not to be happy, but inside him there was a guy who attributes a lot of what he learn't about speaking from, and if you know anything about pre-WWE Dean Ambrose, he didn't get noticed for his wrestling ability, he got noticed for his talking ability.
EDIT: It also appears as though Mae Young was taken off life support last night..... Its a sad day for wrestling...
Nope, she ain't dead yet, as of this post. Source was wrong, but she is still gravely ill. This is Mae young were talking about. Same woman who told bubba ray to powerslam her right or she would kick his ass... and probably would.

After the way DDP helped him change his life, i think it would be a suitable reward. I'm also happy they featured him in the overrun slot too.
I'd also be kind of happy to see Scott Hall in the RR too.
Scott Hall would be nice if wasn't for his drug issues. I don't think anyone could fully trust that man at the moment.
I think Hall could make a surprise appearance if DDP vouches that he has changed.
Note: I am a DDP fan.
