I'm in a terrible spot because of the whole QB as an OP thing. I didn't realize that before the draft, so I didn't prioritize QBs in my rankings, and now I'm sitting with Jay Cutler as my only QB, while other teams have combinations like Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady on the same team.

I have Joe "Bleacher report says if you have me, you suck at drafting" Flacco, and Eli "Im hot and cold" Manning....
And if someone got Rodgers and Brady on the same team, I am jelly. My best guy is only Calvin "im the reason you dont question Stafford" Johnson
Also, in non-fantasy news, Vanilla Ice is doing halftime at the Titans/Texans game. Im unsure what to think, but J.J. Watt seems like he would be excited by this.

As far as remaining QBs that are good pick-ups (based off of my own rating system):
Pryor: Feast or famine. Probably not a good every week QB, but a good QB for 20-27 points in the right match-ups.
Smith: Consistency. Won't give you much if any big games, but shouldn't lay eggs either. Good for 15-20 points per week.
Tannehill: Less consistent than Smith, but with more upside. 12-25 points per week. Plus he has more favorable match-ups throughout the season than smith.
After that there really isn't anyone left taking.
Also I feel like this should be an easy answer, but I still feel I should ask it. This week, Bryant or Edelman?
Dez Bryant
Pros:
He is Dez Bryant.
Tony Romo does throw it to him a decent amount.
Loves his mother.
Cons:
Ankle Injury.
KC defense being pretty decent.
Shown to be able to be shut down by opposing defenses.
Other strong targets like Witten on team.
Also have Witten as my starting TE putting two pass catchers from Dallas on my team.
Julian Edelman
Pros:
Tom Brady
Only person left on team that can catch balls.
Cons:
Is not Dez Bryant.
Only person left on team that can catch balls.
I'm expecting Edelman to get a lot of receptions, but the Jets have a pretty solid defense and I think Ridley will benefit most from the Patriot's situation, particularly in the red zone. Also as you noted, Edelman will be targeted by the defense. I wouldn't be surprised if Thompkins is the highest fantasy scoring Pats receiver tonight.
Dez was pretty miserable the first half of last year fantasy-wise before he started producing at an elite level, and it's entirely possible he starts slow for the first several games. Common consensus would favor Dez as a no-brainer, but ultimately you should pick the one that you think will have a better game. I personally would only chose Edelman in PPR if my roster wanted a high floor player, and Dez in all other cases.
Brady Bombed... 12 pts? come on... Lucky thing I also have the PATS D and they sort of made up for that... Let's hope it's enough to kick Deceptikons ***
Brady didn't bomb as much as his WR's did. Not his fault when all of his primary targets are injured... but yeah, as a guy that has Brady on his roster, I feel your pain.
I just hope that Luck can get enough points at Miami to cover my losses.
These past couple seasons, Brady hasn't been the fantasy slam dunk he was in years past. He rarely tops 23-25 ppg (depending on league, scoring etc.) and it seems like its only going to get worse without his security blanket (Welker). I still think he's a solid starter, but he's not top 5 anymore. Don't put too many of your eggs into the Brady basket.
Brady is undoubtedly one of the top five QB's right now. Even with all of the injuries and losses to his squad, he still managed to go 2-0. That's without Welker, Amendola, and Gron. I can't think of any other QB (besides Rodgers, maybe) that could go 2-0 with his entire receiving corps gone.
I love the Talking Heads slamming the front office/Belichick for "putting together this crappy team around Brady in his final years".
Their top 2 receivers are out with injury, second TE is out, 2nd best RB and best receiving RB is out. How many teams in the NFL are running like a well-oiled machine with their best targets out and relying on unproven rookies who would ideally have smaller roles right now to grow with?
For example would Atlanta be all set if they started the game with no Julio/Roddy White, Gonzalez.
I'm not saying the players the Patriots have out are equal to those as the example in a vacuum, I'm saying equally as important to each offense.
The Patriots don't build their team afraid of injuries, so they could not plan on this. I haven't even mentioned that until the summer Hernandez was a relied on weapon for this offense.
Brady does need to tone down his competitiveness as far as the outward frustration he shows towards the rookies. He admitted he needs to work on that. He is frustrated with the situation the offense is in right now as far having to rely heavily on Thompkins/Dobson. Yes they had drops, but most of it was not being in the right place, not making the right adjustment, not having the timing down. These things will come and if they don't the Patriots will make changes as they have shown they are never afraid of doing.
I like how the win was a throw back to the days of 2001-2004 Patriots, winning by grinding it out with defense. Go back and check the scores of those teams. 9-3, 12-0, 20-3. I do agree that the offense was more efficient back then however. Last night's offense was far from efficient.
2nd game of the year, rainy night (that effected both teams), 4 days to prepare, rookie WRs, top 2 TEs out...leads me to believe that any Patriots fans panicking right now aren't true fans or are Pink-Hat fans. Well let these times weed them out, and leave us with the true fans. GO PATS! 2-0, 2-0 in the division. Let the haters hate, just makes it sweeter like always when we come through.
I can't think of any other QB (besides Rodgers, maybe) that could go 2-0 with his entire receiving corps gone.
I mean, honestly, who's better right now?
Peyton Manning... I mean, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, and Demarius Thomas all seem like they would still be good without him, but what about Eric Decker, Austin Collie, Brandon Stokely, or Dallas Clark? None of those guy have had nearly as much success without Peyton. Also, look at where the Colts were in 2011 compared to 2010. Manning misses one year and they go from one of the best teams in the league to the absolute worst. When Brady missed a year, the Patriots were still in the playoff hunt at least.
it's one game, but Seattle looked a lot better than San Fran. lots of penalties from two top tier teams. curious to see how these two teams fix that problem.
EDH is like French fries: some people like waffle cut, crinkle cut, or plain old straight cut, and while there's slight flavor difference and personal preference, at the end of the day they're still fries.
It appears as though I have begun 0-2 to this year.
That is unless the Bengals, who are favorites to win the division, drop a massive egg and give up 40 points or something.
Also, I now hate Cundiff even more. Before the game, he and Justin Tucker shook hands and basically switched bodies.....
At least Marlon Brown looked good and our defense held the fort.
Thanks to Richard Sherman and Co. practically shutting Anquan Boldin out, it looks like ive squeaked out a win against votan. 6-2 thus far this week with two matchups to be decided by the Monday night game. Need Redman to be held to 7.7 pts and Eifert + CIN D/ST to be held to 25
Another week being a Panthers fan meaning another week of blowing fourth quarter leads. Some fun stats about the Panthers the last two years.
Record in games decided by less than 7 points: 2-14
Blown 4th quarter leads: 10
But I guess thats a side effect of fielding one of the worst secondaries ever.
On the bright side Vernon Davis got shut down and I managed to win a fantasy match-up I thought I had no chance to win in the WTF-FL league.

My team (Tom Brady, Ryan Mathews, Trent Richardson, Larry Fitzgerald, Victor Cruz, Jermichael Finley, Torrey Smith, Blair Walsh, 49ers Defense) did pretty bad this week...and somehow still won. I had Ahmad Bradshaw on my bench for some reason... Huge regret
My highest scorer was Jermichael Finley (12.60) and then Blair Walsh (Vikings Kicker) with 12.00... Tom Brady did alright, Larry Fitzgerald is still kinda hurt, and Trent Richardson has been underperforming.
So overall, I won 78.80-65.95 against the ENTIRE 49ers offense (and Julio Jones instead of a receiver)
Tom Brady hasn't been great though, he has nobody to pass too. I have Joe Flacco and Eli Manning on my bench. Any opinions on who I should start next week?

I am racky54 on Cockatrice and I'm almost always up for a match
@Scotti: Looks like I spoke to soon, scores were updated and it looks like we tied.
@Racky: I would start Eli, I can not describe just how bad Carolina's secondary is, and that was before they lost 3 of their starters last week.
I'm going to wait until tonight's game is done, and tomorrow if it is still tied, I am going to double check the scoring on my side. I don't know where they gave me 2 extra points from, on whatever player they had to adjust. I use the normal point scoring system, but I have a few bonus points for big feats like 400 or 500 yards passing, etc.
Flacco is a solid low to mid teens, Eli is a solid mid teens to low 20 from my experience. However, the moment you write him off, Flacco will have a big game, so I suggest looking between them week to week.

yea you did....
Brady did less than what was expected, Witten netted be a whole 1.4 points, and Reggie Wayne, 4.6 points.
However, I was still happy with Andrew Luck (21 points) and Randall Cobb (19 points), so that means something.
Hopefully a fluke, but I still have reasonable back ups to fill my positions if my starters are lacking.
