Just curious, Arian, why didn't you take the Bremen mask instead of the Great Fairy Mask?
And I suspected that is what the mask does when you started talking Day 2.
I few quick google searches since I didn't know anything about the lore. From what I read about the Bremen Mask in-game, it sounded really lackluster, and I wanted to be able to make a difference. Since I was VT, I figured that taking a Mask that sounded like it had some power would enable me to actually have an impact. I'm definitely still not that good at mafia, so I tend to lean on my roles a lot.
Incidentally, this is why I had Void pick a mask after me, during the first draft -- I figured that the name/specs of a Mask might lend insight into the drafter's role, and I wanted to see if I could get a bit of a read on Void that way.
Too much to read if I want to get homework done tonight, and I want to get homework done tonight.
But I will fill this out:
Player: Digi / Wheat
Rolename: Clock Town Guard
Role: Vanilla Town
Abilities: None.
Mask: Don Gero's Mask (Knocks off a player's mask as a Night action
N1 Results: Successful use on Zinger
N2 Results: Successful use on little lizard
Player: Prophylaxis
Rolename: Clock Town Guard
Role: Vanilla Town
Ability: [None]
Mask (N1 - D3): Goron Mask (Abilities are Unblockable and Unredirectable)
N1 Results: Roleblocked, Mask Removed
N2 Results: (None)
My previous mask was the Garo Mask - Zinger went over this, but it makes a player unlynchable for one day. The thing is, it actually does nothing because the wagon then resets, allowing you to lynch that player again and have that lynch go through.
I was thinking of sandbagging it until lylo but .
I guess I can hammer Generic if the lynch goes through, mostly for selfish reasons though. I've just been so paranoid/on tilt after the Guardman lynch went through/AI was revealed as town that I have no idea who to trust anymore. I've been meaning to do a reread but I haven't had the time.
The selfish reason for me wanting to die is that Tar has a whole bunch of [REDACTED] things that I can only see if I see the spec chat and I want to see who the scum team are.
I feel like Incognito, Day 3 of Disney Villains Mafia.

This, too. I mean, I'm just so nervous about lynching because we already had two town flips and with a long row of townie deaths I'm really grasping for a confirmed scum to show their face.
I mean, Asenion was acting pretty townie around mid-day one, but I forgot about that read and I need to pick that up soon. AGod had a lynch threshold increaser claim, which is pretty pro-town to me and caused my mind to explode at like the 10th scummy person who ended up town in this game.
lizard had the Super Miller frustration, Wheat was apparently cleared by gut by Seppel, and Generic I'm still sold on lynching, but the "string of innocent posts" earlier still resides with me and the night action confusion and Captain's Mask make me ????????
I also haven't been really keeping up with the thread lately - my reads are so bad, I feel, and I feel like I'm going to get town LVP or something or people are calling my play bad in the spec chat.
EBWODP: Another selfish reason - I also want to get out of this town because I feel like we're entering Starcraft or USUDM here with the # of inexperienced players.
4 Clock Guards including myself (me, Proph, Void/Karn, Ghosting). Of them, only Ghosting has a revealed/claimed ability. I'm not really sure where I'm going with this, but it seems a little odd.
Didn't Wheat claim CTG too?
Anyway, I think there's no correlation between being a CTG and being vanilla. swishh and AI have flipped non-CTG Vanilla Townie, Karn has flipped CTG Vanilla Townie, and Ghosting has flipped CTG Townie Defender.
So we have 5 claimed CTG and JeY mentioned day 1 that there are 4 CTG in Majora's Mask?
My read on Jey's start-of-game was that she wanted to surprise everyone by picking two masks and possibly get some tells from that, but the mod ruined her fun by noting in the votecount that she wasn't voting with either vote. I don't think that she wanted to hide it, per se.
This is accurate.
@Seppel's player block regarding me:
LnGrrrR knocked off both of my masks, but someone else who wasn't LnGrrrR (we don't know who) destroyed the Stone Mask in particular. the Mask of Truth is still int he pool.
Also Zinger said the Mask of Truth was a watcher - you learn how many other people target your target during the night, which is correct.
Night one I determined that 3 people who were not me targeted you, one was Arian and the other was supposedly Generic. No third claim.
@Zinger: please make the trade. Seppel, you still get to Jail someone tonight barring roleblocks.
@Arcadic - masks are still targetable while wearing Stone Mask, so investigating mask specifically allowed your power to work. My Mask of Truth during N2 did not yield results as it guess knock-off prevails over investigation. I targeted Arcadic however (again, no result).
@Arian: I cannot reveal that information. I got a number as a result, not names or what the action was.
Ooh. OOH. Someone is lying. I thought there was something wrong here. I strongly believe there is only four clock town guards in this game.
@TMCT + Zinger: Actually. Hold on. I -really- like the idea of having two cop shots over Seppel and I sharing Sun's/Moon's masks respectively. Please make it happen. If I become a 2-shot cop I will be interested in setting up the Sun's/Moon's mask again accordingly for maximum overdrive - assuming we can set something like that up x_x

Great Fairy Mask is leagues more useful than Bremen Mask. With the latter you can get the Bunny Hood which is useful, but then your Bremen's is useless after. GF Mask (lol GF) attracts stray fairies from a distance to you in dungeons, which is required to get all 15 in all four dungeons.
@AtheistGod: Yes, I said earlier in this post that there are only four clock town guards; guarding North, South, East, and West exits. There's the captain and two lieutenants in the Mayor's office but that's moot since they're not CTG.
---
I think that catches me up. I have no clue who to lynch if we're not lynching Generic. Wave 2 of homework is here so I have little to none in terms of time to reread until the end of next week.
How can LnGrrrR get away with falseclaiming a character that doesn't actually exist in the game and all the resident flavor experts (JeY k, Seppel, lizard, Zinger?) not notice it?
Double checked my claim, and I misspelled it. It's Axonn with two N's, not two X's. I still have no clue who that is. Google isn't a big fan of that spelling either, so ai guess Im still scum, HERPADERP!
Ok, Taredas truly is a bastard. I actually decided to read my flavor, and it says Im from the world of Mata Nui. A little google later and the real joke is on me.
Yes, Im a f***ing Bionicle character. I got sent here to search out a rare Mask of Power.

You can't make this up. His role said "Outsider" too, so I think I believe this claim, messed up as it is.
LnGrrrR is town, I retract my earlier suspicion.
Regarding the Clock Guard issue, Zelda Wiki specifically states that there is a guard for each entrance to Clock Town, and that there are 4 entrances (ergo, 4 guards). It doesn't say anything about other Clock Town Guards located in other places, although it does note that there are two Captains.
I would consider it far more likely that there are only 4 Clock Town Guards present in the game.
How can LnGrrrR get away with falseclaiming a character that doesn't actually exist in the game and all the resident flavor experts (JeY k, Seppel, lizard, Zinger?) not notice it?
So weird.
"town outsider" proph.
LnGrrrR said he wasn't a part of the game in the very claim itself. Trust me I would've went ape[nuts] already if that weren't the case. LnGrrrR doesn't seem like the type to be stupid enough to pull the wool over my eyes, knowing the INS/outs of my favorite game.
Also @generic, if there's going to be more than 1 clock town guard, there's going to be 4. I couldn't imsgine a setup otherwise.
I think proph or wheat is lying. Proph going nuts over axxon makes me feel bad about him.
There's 4 Clock Town Guards, no ifs ands or butts. Proph is the scummy one to me imo. All he's done this game is make lists, check them twice, complain that everyone seems naughty and not nice. He ran up the two valuable experienced townies day 2, now is bemoaning the lack of experience in the town? Proph's been skating by using confusion as a means of actively lurking in the thread.
I'm sold on the Axonn thing. Something is not right when there are unclaimed NPC's from the game still and someone goes and claims something from a completely different universe.
I'd vote both right now, but I've got a larger scum read on Proph. Vote Proph
@AtheistGod: Yes, I said earlier in this post that there are only four clock town guards; guarding North, South, East, and West exits. There's the captain and two lieutenants in the Mayor's office but that's moot since they're not CTG.
Here you go Wheat. Mayor's Office goons are classified differently than CTG. Therefore, 4.
Not Proph. Unless he's gone against his scum meta for the entire game.
I agree with this. While Proph's push regarding LnG's claim -does- look poor, I believe that it's more of a side effect of how desperate he (we) is (are) for a scum flip at this point. He thought he had something and bit down hard -- it just happened to be concrete instead of sugar.
The only thing that I've liked about Wheat this game was how he reacted under pressure earlier in the game, and frankly, Wheat is an experienced enough player that he could easily fake that reaction.
I am fine with a wheat or lizard lynch. As noted above, I really didnt like lizard's vote on Proph after he voted WG. Anyone know if lizard had listed Proph as a scum choice earlier?

I did when Arcadic asked me. I don't have access to a computer right now but when I do I will quote the post.
Wheat, I am Tingle.
Proph, I didn't really bat an eye because Tar likes to include one non-flavor character in his games. I have to check if the non-flavor character is usually scum. One of Tar's friend's uses Tar as a non-flavor character and the character is almost always scum. I need to see if he got the idea from Tar or that was his own creation. I didn't want to draw any attention to it because I was going to check it tonight.
I think it is funny that Proph goes after LnGr for a flavor reason but is totally "distraught" when people suspect him for a flavor reason.
I can't actually confirm whether or not Tar makes out of flavor characters one alignment or not since I am not particularly knowledgeable of the other flavored games he has run and I don't have time to research them.

Sure, when I'm done casing Generic I'll try to read Proph again.
But the problem with saying that Proph's behavior doesn't aid the town is that we haven't caught scum yet, so no one's behavior has really "aided the town." You could lambaste everyone in the game on those grounds.
I'll get to re-reading in the weekend and hopefully I can present to you one then, because right now I probably just pushed my... 9th? 10th? scum read that turned out to might be town (LnGrrrR, whose claim I can't wrap my brain around).
