These sleeves are great! Thin and light, beautiful colour, and perfect cut!
Sometimes I think sleeves cost too much but it's totally worth getting rid of old, grimey sleeves and using silky smooth new ones.

By the way, question for anyone:
Does using perfect fits on some of your cards, but not all, qualify for a DQ?
I've been doing this at local Legacy tournaments for the past few years, and no one has called me out on it (granted, legacy players seem to be a bit more lax on average). Basically I double sleeve expensive cards, and also a few other commons too just in case someone does call me out, I can show that it's not just my duals which are double sleeved. The main reason I do this is because a fully double sleeved deck becomes too big and unwieldy for my tastes.

If you double-sleeve (and you should! ) you have to do the whole deck. I know this might feel expensive, but think of it as a good excuse to pimp out your lands. Full Art Zendikar for the dazzle or Ice Age art for the retro with a black border? So many choices...
Does anyone sleeve their cards inside their trade binders? I have a monster trade binder and the pockets are becoming a little loose, I am considering sleeving the cards in a clear sleeve but I don't want one too big that it will stretch the pocket even further. I also don't know if perfect fits/pro fits would be too tight on the cards, is there anyone with experience sleeving cards within monster trade binders?

a friend of mine does that (double sleeve) to his expensive cards in the binder (duals, fows etc...). Seems to work.

I just bought a pack of KMC Supers Metallic Red.
I pitty you :/ I did that mistake a year ago, maybe a bit more. Thing is metallic colors receive an extra layer, wich peels off after some use (I'm quite careful, so I took a while).

KMC perfect fits are the perfect size for that. Monster binder pockets are smaller than ultra pro binders, for ultra pro you could use regular sleeves. You could try normal sleeves for monster, but it may stick out a bit.
Roughly a month ago and again, yesterday, I picked up a pack of the KMC Hyper Matte Clear sleeves, seconding what was previously mentioned, the matting is awesome. Texture and everything.
In case anyone is wondering what I did about the back, I stuck in some Bicycle cards behind each card (inside the perfect fits) so now my deck looks like a deck of playing cards. It's definitely taller with the increased thickness of each card, but I can rifle it with ease as well as with an added trust that the cards wont suddenly bend over on their edges because of the extra thickness.
I'll follow this post up with a photo later in the day when I get the chance.

I use perfect fit sleeves on all rare and/or valuable cards
The perfect fit sleeves stay on even when putting the card into a binder
For deck building, everything goes into a perfect fit (even the cheap cards) because the entire deck gets double sleeved (with a normal sleeves over the tight fit)
When putting them in the tight fits they are "open side down"; this way the top of the card is always protected. Than either the normal sleeve or the binder pocket protects the bottoms
Once you get used to doing it this way, it becomes second nature and it really keeps the cards in good shape
I know one guy who triple sleeves (perfect fit open side down, penny sleeve open side up, than normal sleeve with backing open side up) He leaves them double sleeved in his binders and only triple sleeves for his decks which he changes the backs on as they wear out or get scratched
I pitty you :/ I did that mistake a year ago, maybe a bit more. Thing is metallic colors receive an extra layer, wich peels off after some use (I'm quite careful, so I took a while).
Oh that's not good I haven't tried these particular sleeves out yet, so I thought I'd give em a shot.
Well, so far, they have been fine. I am also usually pretty careful with my cards when shuffling, so hopefully they last. Eh, no sleeve lasts forever, as long as they start splitting around the same time they get sticky/old I can't really complain.
I've tried many different sleeves over the years, I think the nicer the sleeve the shorter it's lifespan. For example, textured ultra pros are some of the ugliest sleeves around, uneven cuts, bland colours, cheap feeling plastic, lack of clarity -- but last the longest.
KMC Supers or Yanoman are super nice, great colors, exact cuts, clear, lightweight -- but need to be replaced more often.

I do the same thing, though I have not taken one of these decks to an event yet. I can't really feel the difference, but it is always up to the judge.

I don't see why you would need to do the whole deck, and I kinda hate the idea of pimping out decks too.

This is my policy: I put perfect fits on all foils, cards that I value that get taken in and out of decks, and all cards worth more than $10. My feeling is that this keeps the finish from being exposed to friction every time it is moved from binder to sleeve and back. Foils especially seem to scratch easily, so even if the card is valueless I sleeve it to keep it from looking bad in a deck.
I tend to use the cheaper 9 slot pages so they are thinner, and I have no difficulty putting a playset of foil cards each with a perfect fit on them in one pocket. Then again I use replaceable pages in a D ring zipper binder so it is not a big deal if one gets a little stretched or messed up.
I just bought a pack of Dragon Sleeves gold and I'm a little concerned with just how curved they are out of the box i put a card in and looked at it later and the there's still a slight curve I'm thinking of putting a basic land behindthem at least for now to help reinforce them

Don't worry about the curve; in fact, it's your friend. Let me explain:
Dragon Shields have a slight curve out of the box. When you sleeve your deck in them, they adjust to your cards, creating the tightest seal of any sleeve on the market.
After a very short time, a Dragon Shield sleeved deck will be very flat, with a tight seal protecting your cards from air and dust (the air protection is great for keeping foils from curling).
oh okay cause i was noticing the curve was bending the card a little
Yeah, a lot of people worry about that, but trust me: your cards will bend the sleeve, not the other way around.
magic cards are printed on special cardboard that doesn't crease or peranently bend (not easily anyway). You can take a Magic card between your fingers and bend it into a U and it won't crease and it will go right back to being flat afterwards, so a Dragon Shield sleeve is not going to do anything worse than (or equal to) that.
Dragon Shield sleeves are some of the absolute best on the market. Most Legacy and Modern players use them for their expensive decks. KMC is a close second, and their new HYPER sleeves are supposed to be amazingsauce.
Just be sure to keep your Dragon Shield sleeved cards on a clean surface! Dragon Shields absorb dirt and grime very easily, and if you play with them on dirty surface (like a diner/bar table) they get sticky and dirty fast. The are premium sleeves meant to be played on a playmat or very clean surface.
Well, I've had a bad experience with the Ultra Pro Matte Sleeves to add to the pile of negative outcomes in the thread. My boyfriend got some of the green matte sleeves and as soon as we sleeved up his EDH deck and started to shuffle, one of the sleeves split. There was a bit of force being put on it, but no more than I've ever used with Dragon Shield, KMC or even normal Ultra Pro sleeves. Luckily, one of the cards we ordered recently just happened to come in one, so we have a single extra.
Needless to say, we ordered some Gold Dragon Shield sleeves, and will be using the Ultra Pro Matte sleeves for sleeving up the cards in our binder.
The ultra pro matte sleeves are the biggest perpetrator of splitting. The regular sleeves, although they do still split from time to time, don't split nearly as often anymore. I've had some of my decks sleeved in regular black ultra pros with (some with ultra pro pro fits), and never had a single sleeve split after a year or so of use.
I recently double sleeved my more expensive decks with dragon shields and ultra pro pro fits, but I still have some of my decks in the ultra pro sleeves. Honestly, they may get a bad wrap, but like I said, I've been using some of those sleeves for well over a year now and haven't had any sleeves split. Also, the ultra pro sleeves still shuffle the way I like after very long use, unlike the more expensive brands, which have to be wiped off with a damp cloth every couple of months or so in order to be kept clean.
Has anyone tried the KMC Hyper Matte sleeves? I'm planning on putting together another Cube and am trying to figure out if I should go with them or my standard KMC Mattes.

If you go with the KMC "Hyper" Mattes you will not be sorry. They are 1000x better than the KMC Matte sleeves. They are amazing. Read the last 2 pages or so of this thread and you'll see a ton of people just picked their's up, tried them out, and love them.
I finally got a hold of mine and am floored by their quality (and I've been a major KMC fan for awhile...but these are in a whole new category).
So I want to get some KMC Hyper Matte sleeves. A review I was reading said that due to the smaller size of them, double sleeves may not work so good. My entire EDH deck is double sleeved, with perfect fits (I think they are ultra pros perfect fits, I can't honestly remember), would these not work in the KMC Hyper Mattes?

I have double sleeved my EDH and legacy decks with KMC perfect fits + KMC hyper mattes, and it works fine. I am not sure about ultra pro pro fits though.
Here is a picture of double sleeved with KMC hyper matte (left) and KMC normal matte (right). You can see the hyper matte is shorter by a tiny bit (1mm), but it still works fine.
However, sometimes the inner sleeves will creep up towards the top over time. I just take my deck in one hand and tap the bottom of it against the palm of my other hand (like packing a pack of cigarettes), and the inner sleeves drop back down to the bottom.
So anyone know a good place to order hyper mats from? Im having a hard time at my usual spots. I definitely want to try them because I love my KMC mattes but I hate the baconing at the top.

As for the Ultra Pro Perfects I'd stay away from them like the plague. They often are inconsistently sized, some are too large on cards and others too small. Ultra Pro is not who you want to go to for double-sleeving.
