I watched the first four episodes of Aoi Bungaku a couple days ago and holy **** they were amazing. I've heard the rest of the series isn't quite as good though.
It convinced me to get and read No Longer Human when I have a chance.

"Virtue, Jacques, is an excellent thing. Both good people and wicked people speak highly of it..."
I have a hard time watching movies even in english now if they aren't subbed. It's like my ears got lazy. I watched things subbed even when they are dubbed, unless I watched them before I made the transition (essentially DBZ)
Soriel: I saw you tell another poster in another thread what animes they might like based on their type (which is also based on what they watched and liked) I was wondering if you could help me. I can give you a list of anime I've watched and you tell me what type they are (I only know shonen and shojo, and I don't think either are my "type")
I usually prefer manga first, subbed anime second, and dubbed anime third. Manga is just very fast and has the most accurate story telling (for obvious reasons). Subbed anime will almost always have good voice actors and accurate story. Even with excellent voice actors and accurate story telling, dubs can have awkward moments due to cultural differences or just nuances in language.

I can't stand manga. I like reading cause watching is a bit meh to me. Manga usually has the same or less amount of dialog, with focus on images I don't look at anyways.

most of the stuff I watch is subbed. But when I feel lazy it'll be dubs for sure.
I watched School Days on a friend's suggestion....
It got real dark real fast

I've always preferred subbed over dubbed except in arbitrary cases where I just so happened to watch the first episode dubbed and didn't mind it too much. One example would be the original Hellsing. I actually prefer the dubbed in that case as Alexander Anderson saying "AMENNNNN!" in Japanese just sounds off to me.

Ha! DBZ and the Hellsing (not OVA) are the first two that came to mind.
I was told that school day was good. I need to watch it, and Clannad the second season.

I guess that's a possibility. With no casting announcements yet, it seems they are taking their time with it.
I prefer to watch anime and read manga.
Lately, I have been reading more anime than I have previously. I recently finished Bakemonogatari, which was a pain at times...
I loved Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatari, Nekomonogatari Kuro and now Monogatari Second Season. Spoiler Alert, by the last one, no one has the same hair they had in the first one, but only a few change it every season. Bakemonogatari > Nisemonogatari had the most depressing hair change imo (only one character. Went from being my favorite to looking so so).
But the Monogatari Series, along with Steins;Gate are my two favorite animes.

Subbed in almost all cases. Only exception I can think of where the dubs were any good were FMA brotherhood (Mustang and Al's voices were pretty good), and Baccano (lets face it, accents like those are hard to pull off in Japanese)

What i've noticed is that if I watch the dub first, the sub is tough for me to watch(I.E Rurouni Kenshin), but if I watch the sub first I can't stand the dub (I.E Black Lagoon).
On that note, I hadn't watch SAO in quite sometime and I watched the dub that recently came out. Absolutely Horrible, and I'm not sure if it's cause I did watch the sub or if it's just bad.

I also like how they retained the cast from the original FMA series

I think it stays very solid all the way to the end. Probably my favorite series of 2013.
Can't wait then First 6 episodes certianly haven't disappointed. I'm finding the main character pretty awesome as well, which I didn't expect when I she was first introduced

Dubbed or Subbed?

After sleeping on it, I realize that dubbing still doesn't explain why they haven't streamed it.
Oh, I enjoyed the show. I was just referring to the reading part of it.
i agree idk why it hasn't streamed in dub (not like it matters, I already watched it in subs)

I meant a legal english sub stream.
i guess, i wish crunchyroll would licence more of these subs to do it legally.
it comes down to funmation doing the dubs in order to licence the second season.
EDIT: Crunchyroll and Aniplex are legal ways to stream anime

Do you mean pausing to read the screen or just reading the manga?
I'd like to talk to someone about the newest season, but I know of no one that watched it.
On that note, I hadn't watch SAO in quite sometime and I watched the dub that recently came out. Absolutely Horrible, and I'm not sure if it's cause I did watch the sub or if it's just bad.
