I suppose it's true. Though the logistics implied in a human/Great Wyrm Prismatic Dragon pairing makes me shudder.

Apparently, there's much to be done in terms of article neutrality.
I'm a noob, so we need someone who's been here a while and isn't a noob; thus, ruling me out.
@ TFE project... God. Task and a half. And one I'll not touch, sorry. Personal reasons and all that. I'm sure you'd rather it be completely free of personal feeling.

Yeah... apparently, it's been one hell of a task, and it remains to be so, so long as there is a TFE page. Fortunately and unfortunately, TFE has had a considerable impact on this site.

Following the new rules and templating changes to Magic with M10, alot of templating has been changed.
Do we now write articles with sentences such as "play a spell" or "cast a spell", "comes into play" or "enter the battlefield"?
Please clarify.
Also, another important question I have, how do I reference sites that are not from dailymtg.com and starcitygames.com? The wiki does not state clearly how to do so and I cannot properly reference my edits.
Please advise.

Hit "edit" on an existing page that does what you want. Read the code they have there, and then C/P it to your page and edit it accordingly.
to anyone who knows, why is the MTGS users page uneditable? i mean it's editable, but it just shows the heading and such but no user text/links. i'm wondering because i was going to make user pages for all of [CMB]

I suppose it isn't necroing if it's stickied and an official thread?
Anyways, over at the software forum there is some discussion going on about our activity during spoiler seasons. If the appropriate people would go and take a look...
In short, we're looking for a place where we can place projects, and have a select few people (in teams possibly) working on them (IE, not editable by the public). These include text files, MSE files, images, etc. None of that's final if you read the thread, but it pretty much is for sure needed for text files (the .txt files for MWS spoilers). Would this be possible on the current wiki?
PS: I'm not certain on how version control works with MediaWiki... But that is also important.
you could make a page and link to hosting sites that could store any document you needed to store, but you would need admin wiki rights to lock the pages from public editing. i think most the wiki admins are long gone from this forums.....:-/

I'm still around although I'm not sure what CXA26483 is talking about putting on the Wiki but it sounds like he'd definitely need Hannes permission. I feel so invisible sometimes. I become an Admin and another goes AWOL.

TLDR; To prevent a million threads from opening, each different, about a .txt spoiler for MWS, and cluttering up the software forum, we're trying to devise a way to collaborate on it, and a wiki is a possibility I believe. There are free ones out there, but MTGS already has one... so I think it's probably best if we do our work there =]. Other projects include, but are not limited to, MSE files, images, and although I know very little about it, possibly seneschul's apprentice work (unless no one wishes to help out on that [frankly I don't know too many people who still use apprentice, let alone are able to do anything with/to it O_o;;]). Overall, the amount of space required is probably less than 1GB, and although I'm not aware of the inner workings of MTGS (where it's hosted, how much it costs to run, etc) I'd be willing to put some assets forth towards making any of this possible (whether monetary, or otherwise).
since we have a wiki admin (a race once thought to be extinct here) any idea what's up with the total MTGS user's page? and why it can't be directly edited to add new people? and/or can non-admins make user pages with user: before their username? i kinda screwed that up on mine....:-/

To start creating your user page. Type SGT_Chubbz in the search window and hit the go button. It will come back saying There is no page titled "SGT_Chubbz". You can create this page. Hit the link for "create this page" and you can start your userpage.
Make sure and put these lines on the top of your page
A question - What notability must a user have to have an article created about him/herself? I notice that there are some articles that are autobiographies, essentially, as those users created their own articles about themselves.
EDIT: It seems that these pages are simply more formal versions of a typical user page that would be found on Wikipedia? Either way, I created one for myself.
This thread remains the place for general MTGS Wiki discussion and for shouting at the sysops.
Other threads are good too.

How's it now?
Oh, is it cool if I bump/double post anywhere in this forum? (Chances are, I won't need to bump this.)
Edit: Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmm... I think I'm going to have to try to revise some guidelines for wiki pages and standardizing sections and such.
Guidelines are good, but don't expect everyone to follow them.

The Custom Card Creation forum and its subfora are probably what you're looking for.

We are attempting to get away from the "User:"
To start creating your user page. Type SGT_Chubbz in the search window and hit the go button. It will come back saying There is no page titled "SGT_Chubbz". You can create this page. Hit the link for "create this page" and you can start your userpage.
Make sure and put these lines on the top of your page
{{People|
|image=noimage.jpg
|username=
|username-n=
|name=
|status={{MTGSUser}}
|gender=
|birthday=
|joindate=
}}
and that will put you on the User Category page (first link I put at the top of this post).
