Feb 10th: The giveaway is official closed! Winners will be announced in the next few days!
To celebrate the new MTGSalvation site going well and truly live, we're hosting a Theros giveaway! To participate, just post here in the comment section telling us about your favorite Magic card!
The Rules of the Giveaway
- Each winner will get 6 Theros booster packs.
- We will randomly draw 15 winners from those who participate.
- For legal reasons, we are only able to ship to the following countries: US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany and the UK. If you do not have a delivery address in one of these countries, you will not be able to win the giveaway.
- Each user may only enter once. Multiple posts on the same account will count as one entry. Those caught entering more than once using multiple accounts will be disqualified.
- If you don't name your favorite Magic card, we won't know if you're explicitly entering the giveaway or not, so we won't be able to take your comment as an entry into the giveaway.
- Staff members (moderators, global moderators & administrators) are welcome to post their favourite Magic card, but they won't be entered into the giveaway.
The giveaway will end on the 10th February at 5PM CST, just 7 days from now!
Pure, kind, and good, yet in possession of nearly unlimited power. Looking at his abilities from a flavor standpoint, he is literally taking things from the world around him and the minds of his opponents, and then creates an entirely new reality where those things are turned against his enemies. Pretty hard to top that.
I loved it from when i bought the Pod event deck which contained 2 and had to go get another because i know i wanted to build around it. So far i have made 5 different pod decks and have ideas for another 3 yet!
Fun times to be had by all
Cheers,

Year after starting MTG I bought a theros box upon theros release to pull reaper of the wilds. Upon reading it I knew it was something I would enjoy playing and what got me to want to start playing standard. Before I would only play limited. This was the card that pulled me into standard.
It brings a different sort of feel to the battlefield than any other card I have played with. It's a card that most of my opponents hate to see and instantly changes their strategies. It can trade 1 to 1 with bigger creatures, or start to stabilize the field by either starting to remove creatures or pause their attacks.
Go gorgons!
Special mention to my favourite art on Reiver Demon.
As far as i can remember, it was my first legendary creature and in my opinion the most iconic Legendary
with Nicol bolas! I always loved that card since i was 11, never actually played it before last year in a
casual multiplayer deck. I always loved the flavor behind that card.
I was so happy when WOTC brought it back as a planeswalker! Karn was back as the almighty creator!
Vanish Into Memory
Not only does it have a really bad-ass name when you're casting it on Dark Depths token, (You were to be feared... once. Vanish into Memory.) but it's a great card.
I play mostly EDH, and I've gotten more wins off this card than any other. It's one of the best cards in UW and even has a spot in my 5c goodstuff deck.
Cast it on your creatures to save them, draw cards and re-use ETB effects. Cast it on opponents tokens as removal + card draw. Cast it on their Avacyn, Angel of Hope to get 8 chances to find a planar cleansing and path to exile. It's never been a dead card for me, and I don't even play combos (where digging 7-8 cards deep while delaying a threat can turn a loss into a win very often.
Not to mention I've had more than a handful of Omniscience -> Kozilek, Butcher of Truth -> Vanish into Memory and win that turn off of +16 new cards with Omniscience.
Good luck to everyone! I just hope I win and this doesn't Vanish into Memory. (I sure hope that pun didn't disqualify me. )
Edit: To site owners and such. Where the term 'UW' is above I had it in mana tags and it appeared at the start of the paragraph. Might want to look into that.
