This Week in Magic
It is all about Worlds 2008 in Memphis this week. Congratulations to Antti Malin of Finland who is the new World Champion and to Team USA of Paul Cheon / Sam Black / Michael Jacob for winning the World Team Championship. Tom and Gavin had a blast meeting listeners, doing interviews with Mark Rosewater and Aaron Forsythe, Ahoy and Unhinged drafting, gunslinging, and more. Tom got to spend some quality time (and filmed it) playing with the upcoming Xbox 360 game, Duel of the Planeswalkers. About Gavin Verhey

Gavin Verhey is an nineteen year-old professional card player that travels to play in events throughout the world. He has a wide range of accomplishments, a few of which are playing in U.S. Nationals 2006, a top 16 finish at Grand Prix Los Angeles 2009, playing in Pro Tour Berlin, and being awarded over $8,000 in college scholarship through the Junior Super Series and Magic Scholarship Series programs. He sports 12 Pro Tour Qualifier Top Eights with two wins and formed the successful internet based group Team Unknown Stars. Gavin is a level one judge and MTGSalvation Administrator. He lives in Washington state and is a student at the University of Washington.
