MTGCast Episode 85 - The Good, The Bad, and the British
"You read it somewhere else, but you heard it here first!"
This Week in Magic
Quick spotlight on a promising open-source program for online magic play that has similar rules enforcement to MTGO called Firemox (Java based and can run on most platforms - sorry OS/2 users). Two new Japanese Juniors foil promos with the crazy starburst foil - Elvish Champion and Glorious Anthem. The questionable Morningtide cards mentioned last week were FAKE (but hey, it was fun) and we have a bunch of REAL Morningtide info this week!
Morningtide Mojo
Four new cards spoiled on the official WoTC site and they look great (Sage of Fables, Wolf-Skull Shaman, Supreme Exemplar, Rustic Clachan)! We discuss the pros, cons, potential uses, and the undeniable awesomeness that is Wolf-Skull Shaman. A bunch of other new cards seen in different magazines and are now up on the MTGS unofficial spoiler. Three Morningtide posters with lots of card names have been sent to stores highlighting three classes - Rogue, Warrior and Shaman, this confirms the return of Boldwyr Intimidator and the rumors are already rampaging about the return of Tarmogoyf. Worth reading the card names to see some of the truly bizarre (and assumed Boggart) card names like Squeaking Pie Grubfellow, Earwig Squad, Auntie's Snitch and more. Also, some proof of a "Banneret" cycle. We also mention the little fact that MTGO v3 comes out in 28 days - check out the countdown on the MTGO page!
