"You read it somewhere else, but you heard it here first!"
This Week in Magic
This is your chance to be the CBS Early Show and help Wizards show off M:TG on TV and get some free stuff! Here is the MTGSal thread and please email pr.wizards@gmail.com (yes, this is the official address). DCI Banned and Restricted list updated on Dec 1st and mainly makes it that new sets are legal for constructed the day they are released AND banning of cards with Transmute in many MTGO formats. Look out for the Extended format at GP Vienna on March 15-16th. Tribal Wars promos announced: Elvish Lyrist for bringing a friend and Coat of Arms for winning! New Players Rewards promos seen: Damnation, Tidings and Incinerate. The January FNM promo will be Remand (and Force of Will will be a judge promo)! Try out some Cubing at Worlds 2007 if you are around. Also check out "Limited Infinity" or "Type Four", another alternate draft format like Cubing where you have a pile of rare cards, draft decks and infinite mana - read the rules!
Morningtide Mojo

MTGCast News
Tom is going to Worlds 2007!!! Thanks to the generosity of some MTGCast listeners, Tom is going to Worlds 2007 in NYC on Saturday and Sunday. If you want to meet a podcasting legend, just send him an email and you can exchange cell phone numbers. He plans to play in some Tribal Wars and is looking for your comments on which deck to play (decklists here) and what he should bring to Worlds! Here is the list of public events for Worlds 2007. MTGCast is up to a respectable 11 votes for the "Article of the Year" and congrats to the amazing Cranial Insertion team who is in the lead.
Emails, Comments and COMMENT CONTEST!
The winner this week of the foil Scourge Undead Warchief is ... zipmaster!
This is a new weekly contest where I announce a question on the podcast, you post a response (or story) on the MTGSalvation forum for replies to the episode and you can win a card hand-selected from Tom's large collection (and winner is announced on the next week's show). Also, if there are 50+ comments in one week on an episode, Tom will give away his Fruitcake Elemental to a randomly-selected entry!
And yes, there were 60 comments so the Fruitcake Elemental is being given away and the winner is .... Japoniano!
This week's question is: What is your best / worst / coolest / funkiest / unique trade of all time (please, please no "I ripped off a little kid" stories)!
Prize of the week: Presence of the Master from Legends with the crazy Albert Einstein art!
